Full Job Description

Overview:

The individual will work in the Global Liquidity Management (GLM) team within the Citi Treasury Global Function. The team is responsible for establishing the framework for sizing liquidity requirements including internal stress testing framework, developing contingency funding plans in conjunction with other stakeholders within and outside Citi Treasury, providing liquidity oversight to Citi’s global entities, and ensuring that Citi maintains adequate liquidity appropriately positioned to meet the company’s global needs both in normal market conditions as well as during periods of stress. The Liquidity Governance Team is responsible for supporting and strengthening the governance framework within GLM, which includes (1) development, facilitation and maintenance of liquidity related governance forums, including the Liquidity Model Review Committee and the Funding & Liquidity Risk Committee, (2) development and oversight of GLM's control framework, (3) streamlining and standardization of GLM processes, (4) maintenance of liquidity policies and standards in collaboration with second line, (5) oversight of internal and external commitments to ensure a clear line of sight into projects and enhancements, (6) identification of liquidity risks that underpin liquidity models and methodologies, as well as periodic reassessments and documentation of those risks, (7) coordination and messaging across second and third lines of defense and (8) liquidity organizational strategy and hiring coordination.

Scope of Liquidity Risk & Controls:

The Citi’s Liquidity Risk & Controls function within the Liquidity Governance Team will lead initiatives to streamline and standardize liquidity processes by performing detailed deep-dive reviews with stakeholders. Collectively, this will require strong collaboration and engagement with internal partners across Treasury Liquidity Reporting Organization, Liquidity Risk Management (LRM), Operational Risk Management and various Technology functions. Additionally, this function is responsible for supporting and strengthening the governance and control framework of GLM relating to liquidity reporting, analytics, metrics, stress tests, limits, triggers, liquidity data and intraday liquidity

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in developing and providing oversight for GLM’s control framework
Participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining the liquidity risk appetite framework and related assessments
Participate in conducting liquidity risk identification process, including Material Risk Inventory, Contingent Liquidity Risk Inventory, idiosyncratic risks, growing risks and emerging risks
Participate in interpreting, writing, and applying liquidity policies and standards and ensuring GLM processes are in alignment with firm-wide polices

Ideal Candidate:

Be a self-starter with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively collaborate across different levels in the organization, and take ownership and execute on deliverables
Posses existing knowledge of basic balance sheet products, off-balance sheet products, liquidity, controls.
Familiarity with Citi’s firm-wide system and data architecture
Strong organizational and project management skills are desirable.
Strong quantitative with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience creating and presenting data to senior leadership

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting or related fields
At least 4 years of experience in Treasury, Financial Risk Management, or Finance preferably with some level of prior exposure to Liquidity Risk Management and Analytics, and / or Treasury product knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in economics, finance, accounting or related fields

Highly organized and structured

At least 6 years of experience in Treasury, Financial Risk Management, Finance preferably with some level of prior exposure to Liquidity Risk Management and Analytics, and / or Treasury product knowledge.
