Full Job Description

TruConnect is on a mission to bridge the digital divide in the United States by delivering premium wireless services to underserved communities. We have connected millions of Americans over the past decade and experiencing substantial growth as the government places significant resources to help bridge the digital divide.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this position is responsible for the direction and oversight of all aspects of logistics and supply chain functions, including warehousing, distribution, and RMA processing. Within these groups, this position will be tasked with instituting industry best practices for these areas. The Manager of Logistics will be responsible for developing the vision and roadmap to support the long-term strategy and future growth of the organization while managing the day to day operations of the logistics and supply chain organization. This role will manage internal teams as well as external partners including relationships with supply chain vendors and 3PLs.

The goal of this position will be to build a sustainable, lean, operation capable of not only supporting the company’s tremendous projected growth but also driving it. This role requires the ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Own the development, leadership, and execution of the Supply Chain and Logistics strategic plan which includes:
- Inventory Management
- Fulfilment
- Freight & Transportation
- Planning production, capacity
- RMA processing
Develop long range logistics and supply chain strategies to support the growth of the organization in a cost-effective manner while improving service and reliability
Analyzing data and recommending strategies to ensure optimal supply chain execution
Ensure strategy is in alignment with shifts in demand and product mix
Develop and implement best practices to drive efficiency, reduce cost, and improve service across areas of responsibility
Evaluate the performance of all aspects of the supply chain and logistics operation and drive continuous improvement through automation, system, and process improvements
Results-oriented and focused on delivering results; meets due dates within the given budget.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet aggressive deadlines and business objectives
Standardize logistics, supply chain, and RMA processes, ensuring implementation of best practices across the department.
Identify, develop, and implement automation tools to proactively manage the logistics and supply chain network
Oversee and manage 3PLs to ensure performance and costs are in line
Serve as project sponsor for potential warehouse integrations and relocations, system implementations, and automation goals
Partner with Finance to manage and report on all cost associated with logistics and develop strategies to mitigate financial impact as needed
Develop and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics and periodic reporting to help drive execution, process uniformity and compliance across all areas of responsibility
Find new resources to expand shipping capacity and efficiency, including negotiating with carriers, brokers, and other 3PL's
Other duties as assigned by executive management

Qualifications/Skills and Requirements

BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent
15+ years of experience in warehouse/DC operations and inbound/outbound logistics management
5+ years of e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, high-volume small parcel operations experience
NetSuite experience a plus
Proven ability to develop and lead e-commerce supply chain strategies, within timeline and budgetary constraints across functional areas
Extensive customer fulfillment, warehousing, and materials handling background required. E-commerce experience preferred.
Proven experience with managing large logistics organizations with similar complexity
Prior proven ability to negotiate best pricing for shipping freight rates and 3PL services.
Ability to manage day to day operations, and multiple cross functional projects simultaneously and determine priorities
Demonstrated ability to utilize data and metrics to drive decision making and optimization
Ability to develop, articulate, and enact a clear vision of what the Company needs to meet its long-term business objectives
