Loss Prevention Manager
As a Loss Prevention Manager, your role is to oversee and ensure the safety and security of an organization's personnel, assets, and facilities. Your job description may include the following responsibilities:
Developing and implementing security policies and procedures: You will be responsible for creating and enforcing security policies and protocols to protect the organization against potential threats.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct regular assessments to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the organization. You will develop strategies, plans, and procedures to mitigate those risks and ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and assets.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security systems such as access control systems, surveillance cameras, alarms, and other relevant technologies. You will ensure these systems are functioning properly and are up to date.
- Provide security training to employees, educating them on security best practices, and emergency procedures, and raising awareness about potential risks and threats. Among them are workplace violence, shootings that result in fatalities, hostage situations, and so on.
- Develop incident response plans to effectively handle security breaches, emergencies, or any other incidents that may occur. You will also lead or assist in conducting investigations into security incidents, thefts, or other violations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other security professionals to establish effective working relationships and ensure coordinated responses in case of emergencies.
- Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of security measures and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You may need to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to security.
- Continuously stay informed about the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Human Resources, Risk Management, and Operations.
- Other Duties assigned.
Physical Demands:
Stand, walk, bend, and twist constantly.
Frequent bilateral hand movements.
Good finger dexterity.
Travel two weeks out of every month or as needed, depending on the parks' needs.
Be tolerant of noisy children, small enclosed spaces, and noisy music.
Qualifications:
Work weekends and holidays
Able to work and interact with park employees of all levels and ages.
Have the ability and knowledge to operate an iPad, a computer, Excel, PowerPoint,Word, and Outlook.
Good communication skills, customer service skills, and conflict resolution skills
Leadership skills
Work independently
Read and write in the English
Requirements
- Title: Loss Prevention Manager (Preferably Texas Location)
- Experience Level: 3-5 years (Preferably)
- Breach Systems and Email Management experience
- Proficient in conducting investigations and preparing investigation reports
- Ability to create and implement loss prevention procedures
- Familiarity with workplace violence prevention strategies
- Skilled in handling difficult situations and defusing conflicts effectively
- Willingness to travel extensively (50-60% of the time)
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working with individuals at all levels and ages
Systems Knowledge:
- ADT Security Systems expertise
- Open Path access control systems familiarity
- Proficiency in utilizing company Point of Sale (POS) systems
Please note that the preferred location is Texas, as it would be centrally located between all other locations. The ability to work collaboratively with team members across various states is essential.
