Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Adult Center Healthcare and Simulation Coordinator to lead the development, implementation, and management of innovative healthcare simulation programs within our adult education and clinical training environments. The Simulation Coordinator supports the development and integration of simulation-based learning within the nursing program. Responsibilities may include managing simulation equipment and supplies, developing and evaluating simulation scenarios and lesson plans aligned with Tri-County Career Center course goals, training faculty and students in simulation technology, and assisting faculty in facilitating simulations and debriefings. The Simulation Coordinator also manages scheduling and preparation of simulation activities, ensures equipment functions properly, and collaborates with faculty to enhance clinical reasoning, skills, and safe patient care through simulation experiences.

Responsibilities

·Providing input into the budget process.
·Maintaining communication with central administration, other units of the controlling agency, faculty, students, clinical agencies, and the board.
Ensuring regular faculty meetings to promote communication and faculty participation in planning, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum.
Implementing an orientation process for new faculty and teaching assistants.
Recommending faculty and teaching assistants for appointment, promotion, tenure, retention, or termination as applicable.
Facilitating faculty and teaching assistants development, including enhancing educational competencies.
Establishing the faculty-to-student ratio for direct patient care experiences at no greater than ten students per faculty or teaching assistant, or a smaller ratio in clinical settings where necessary to ensure the safe delivery of nursing care.
Ensuring a written policy on the evaluation of faculty, teaching assistants, and preceptors is in place.
·Certifying to the board, in a format prescribed by the board, that each student applying for licensure in Ohio has successfully completed the program requirements and the date of completion.
Submitting a corrective action plan to the board whenever the program administrator submits erroneous certifications of program completion.
Verifying that each nurse teaching a course holds a current, valid license.
Maintaining resources, including but not limited to classroom and skills laboratory equipment and supplies, necessary for students to successfully complete the program.
Performing other duties assigned by the administration.

Qualifications

The program will be managed by a registered nurse administrator who meets the qualifications outlined in rule 4723-5-11 of the Ohio Administrative Code for a practical nursing education program. The requirements include:

Have at least five years of experience practicing as a registered nurse, with two of those years as a faculty member in a practical or registered nursing education program
Hold a master degree with a major in nursing
And possess a current, valid license as a registered nurse in Ohio.

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
