Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, chemical environment preferred.
- Experience working with Redzone or Tillit preferred.
- Project leader experience required.
- Outstanding analytical and demonstrated problem-solving with solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Self-starter with strong decision-making problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to interpret and produce Process Flow Diagrams.
- Able to produce complete and accurate: Process Descriptions, Project Scopes, Cost Estimates, Project Execution Schedules, Commissioning Plans, Process Operating Instructions and Technical Reports.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support quality activities in response to a concern by completing containment activities, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action implementation.
- Support the development of a LEAN culture at Haviland, i.e., 5S, 8 wastes, continuous improvement, process focus, discipline to standards, and practice the scientific method.
- Work independently or with a team on projects.
- Support and assist in conducting team member huddles.
- Track open huddle activities, and follow up with activities owners to provide support in closing activities
- Maintain Redzone (Production Monitoring Software) data integrity through validating targets, adjusting targets, creating new products that are being added, etc.
- Provide the Key Performance Indicators for specified areas.
- Lead a continuous improvement Kaizens on a regular basis to address the top opportunities identified by the KPI’s.
- Create or pull tableau reports as needed that will help the team utilize the data collected.
- Collaborate closely with Production and Maintenance departments to ensure the optimal resolution of operating problems. Make recommendations for capital investments throughout the company.
- Provide technical support for both small and large capital projects and serve as a project manager for capital project execution, commissioning and handover to operations and maintenance.
- Management of capital project process for all facilities including capital budget review, project status, and tracking of process KPIs.
- Responsible for operability of machines and auxiliary equipment by ensuring operational maintenance and preventative maintenance is completed. Assist facility supervisors by engaging with Maintenance and Engineering as needed to escalate concerns and develop solutions.
- Lead improvement in HSE, quality, productivity and cost performance for department(s) managed, by analyzing data to assess performance and lead/propose/implement process improvements.
- Propose changes to staffing and equipment to meet productivity and capacity objectives.
- Develop & implement short-term strategies to ensure goals and objectives are met to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Initiate Learning Teams or RCA for Major events. Lead as necessary. Drive corrective action closure.
- Pursue maximum facility reliability to reduce unplanned events and support safe operations.
