Distributed from facilities in the U.S. and Canada, all Innova products are researched, developed and designed at the company’s headquarters in Irvine, Calif.

We are an innovative tech company developing an OBD2 scanner diagnostic application that offers a freemium diagnostic service powered by an AI engine. Our app provides users with the ability to purchase detailed reports, access technical diagrams and repair manuals, engage in a free community forum, and use a pay-per-session chat function with ASE certified mechanics. We also monetize through affiliate commissions for recommended parts and tools. We are looking for a talented Project Manager to lead the development and transformation of this groundbreaking mobile application.

Job Summary

The Mobile App Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of the OBD2 scanner diagnostic application project. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a strong background in project management for mobile applications. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business team, developers, designers, marketing, and support, to ensure the successful delivery of the project on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management:

Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with business management and stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements

Cross-team Leadership:

Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed.

Stakeholder Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters.
Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve project outcomes.

Budget and Resource Management:

Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management:

Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of deliverables.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Conduct regular project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is preferred.
Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically in mobile application development.
Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in project management tools such as ClickUp, JIRA, Trello, or similar.
Knowledge of the automotive industry and OBD2 diagnostic tools is a plus.

This is not a remote position.
