Position Profile:
The Production Room Operator is responsible for all aspects of machine operations and changeover activities. They will work in a food-contact zone and shall be fully compliant with our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) policies to ensure all food safety standards are met. The operator will monitor product flow through the filler(hopper), capping and sifter machines to ensure product containers meet fill level requirements.
Essential Job Functions:

Safety. Follows all safety procedures including wearing of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Reports unsafe conditions or situations to supervisor or management. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Food Safety. Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices. Recognizes non-compliance and takes action to correct or report observed violations of GMPs. Follow established practices to produce safe quality foods that meet company requirements.
Operates auger filling machine (Hopper). Demonstrates the ability to operate effectively and safely the (Hopper) for any assigned workstation. Ensures proper filling of hoppers and maintain efficient product flow through the filling process. Meets productivity requirements. Work is performed standing in a food contact production area. While completing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, and use hands to feel and reach. The position involves lifting 10 to 20 pounds for extended periods of time throughout the day and may be required to work on stairs or platforms and to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
Operates Capper-Sifter station of the production line. Demonstrates the ability to effectively and safely
operate Capper-Sifter stations of assigned production line. Ensures proper alignment and assembly of sifters
and caps on product containers. Meets productivity requirements for assigned stations worked. Work is done
standing in a food contact production area. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach
with hands and arms. The position involves standing, walking, and lifting.
Teamwork and Collaboration. Actively engages in production and team meetings and provides timely feedback to team regarding work topics. Integrates team efforts and supports the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Understands available resources and utilizes those resources when appropriate.

Additional Job Duties:

Reads material labels and production forms and performs work as assigned by department supervisor

Completes the tasks to set up, produce, package, and inspect our products

Cleans, sets-up, operates, and monitors equipment of the production line

Completes all required documentation and schedules quality checks

Monitors weights and general packaging of product

Adjusts filler timing as needed

Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic issues as they arise

Performs filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner

Completes cleaning checklist once line has completed run

Prepares equipment for next production run

Maintains communication with other departments, management and employees and notifies them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production

Ensures all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required information

Shall report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately. Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issues

Attaches appropriate labels and tags to products and packages

Packs finished goods into correct packages and boxes
-
Inspects goods as they are produced for quality

Places finished goods on the designated pallet

Minimum Position Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Basic math skills

Effective written communications skills including legibility

Strong attention to detail

Able to effectively work in a team environment

Must be performance and quality driven.

Must maintain good attendance and be willing to work overtime as needed
