Full Job Description

Basic Job Function:

The Culinary Content Creator will be the culinary liaison between our food experts and marketing. This food-lover will also work closely with the marketing director and marketing manager, other marketing team members, as well as cross-functional partners as well as company leadership to create engaging best-in-class culinary content for Citarella’s various media channels. While incorporating the principles and best practices of content development, recipe development, food styling, and marketing, the Culinary Content Creator will help to drive results and find delicious ways of connecting audiences with our brand and the finest foods. This team member will be closely connected to our artisanal and small batch production kitchens and food production/procurement operations and food experts.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts Required
Two to five years’ experience working in culinary, food styling, recipe development or closely related role.
Strong understanding of various cooking techniques and appliances.
Ability to simplify complex recipes for a broader audience.
Knowledge of current food and dietary trends.
Passion for gourmet food, culinary arts and helping us share the Citarella difference.
Understanding of office management and marketing principles
Ability to be a critical thinker, take direction and absorb information quickly as well as multi-task and adhere to deadlines
Excellent organizational skills
Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite
Exquisite communication skills with a hardworking and dedicated outlook

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as the liaison between marketing and our experts and act as culinary thought leader of the marketing team to influence and deliver brand defining content in partnership with marketing team members including copywriter, marketing manager, and social media specialist.
Leverage both culinary expertise and knowledge of consumer marketing principles and practices.
Utilize robust culinary background with extensive hands-on experience in food styling, recipe development and culinary content development with an understanding of brand management, consumer insights, digital and print content, and social media marketing.
Manage and create content including photo and video shoots for campaigns, social media, packaging, print, and website use.
Partner with leadership and marketing team in the development of seasonal content and concepts providing culinary insight and feedback.
Develop seasonally focused recipes that are based on current food trends.
Oversee photoshoots from planning to food and prop styling to ensure imagery and food are on brand and represent the Citarella difference.
Partner with team to create dynamic written, graphic, and video content
Assist in the organizing of promotional events and support as need with food styling as well as attend/support them
Ad hoc projects/tasks as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
