ABOUT ENGINEERED PRODUCTS and FORGED MACHINED PRODUCTS GROUP

Engineered Products Group (EPG) operates in a diverse group of manufacturing businesses designing and manufacturing a broad range of highly engineered products. These products include induction heating and melting systems, tube & pipe threading and bending systems, forge and forming presses, and forged and machined components. The principal induction heating and melting business designs and manufactures world-class equipment for the foundry, heat treating, bar & tube (OCTG & API), steel processing, strip heating, forging & forming, and vacuum induction melting industries. The induction business also provides various services, including laboratory process development, preventative maintenance, equipment repair and parts, coil repair facilities, and installation services. These companies are in a sub-segment of the Engineered Products Group and not within the scope of this role.

Additionally, the Engineered Products Group engineers installs mechanical forging and forming presses while supporting the large installed base with spare parts and refurbishment services. In addition to providing equipment, it provides precision machined and forged components for the automotive, aerospace, defense, and railcar industries. These companies make up the Forged Machined Products Group, four companies with estimated revenue at $150M.

Job Summary:

As an FP&A Analyst you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and analysis activities of the Park Ohio’s Forged and Machined Products Group. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insightful financial analysis and reporting, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. This position offers a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for finance to make a significant impact on our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis with the ability to identify key drivers, trend analysis, and scenario modeling to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.

Monthly Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators, financial metrics, and insights to management and stakeholders.

Cost Analysis: Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and production processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.

Profitability Analysis: Evaluate product profitability, customer profitability, and market trends to guide pricing strategies and sales efforts.

Ad-Hoc Analysis: Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis and reporting from senior management, providing data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives.

Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to assess the impact of different scenarios and investment opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with various departments, including Operations, Sales, and Marketing, to gather data and insights, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Compliance: Ensure financial compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a manufacturing

Desired Qualifications:

· 5 years of experience

· CPA / MBA preferred

· Experience with UKG

· Experience with Longview

Technical/Functional Skills:

Experience with ERP systems (preferably Infor Sytline and Epicor)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using Excel (Power BI preferred)
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a high volume of projects.
