Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Branch Sales and Financial Management
- Work closely with COO and other executives to determine sales targets
- Ensure branch staff is aware of sales targets and review progress toward these goals with staff on a quarterly basis
- Manage and motivate branch staff to meet and strive to exceed sales goals
- Track branch finances to manage expenses
- Personnel Management
- Supervise branch personnel in sales, service, warehouse, delivery, shipping and receiving, inventory-taking, and branch support functions
- Conduct regular staff meetings to
- Communicate objectives and goals
- Foster open communication flow
- Encourage employee suggestions and comments
- Plan and prepare branch staff schedules by assigning employees specific duties to ensure effective utilization of personnel
- Continually review employee skill and knowledge levels
- Identify areas which need improvement and coordinate training efforts
- Conduct timely and objective performance evaluations
- Administer disciplinary process within the branch, including counseling, dispensing oral and written warnings, suspensions, and terminations
- Branch and Warehouse Operations
- Coordinate the daily warehouse staffing and activities, including:
- Shipping
- Receiving
- Sanitation
- Inventory control
- Participate in the development of branch performance standards with regard to:
- Operating loss control
- Compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Oversee warehouse safety programs to ensure a safe, clean workplace for employees
- Ensure that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform stocking, distribution and delivery functions
- Maintain warehouse equipment through preventative maintenance programs
- Ensure all necessary repairs are performed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, and state regulations
- Customer Service
- Lead branch staff in achieving and maintaining a professional and positive rapport with customers by providing the best possible service
- Review and resolve customer issues and complaints regarding service, products, or personnel
- Gauge customer preferences to help determine the focus of sales efforts
- Communication and Reporting
- Complete all required reports in a timely and professional manner, including:
- BMAR Reports
- Refrigerant Inventory Reports
- Copper Inventory Reports
- Attend company-wide team meetings to collaborate with other department members, and to exchange product and sales information
