About Us

Impact Intelligence and Investigations, LLC is a Dallas-based intelligence firm providing a wide range of investigative, cybersecurity, and intelligence services for corporate clients, law firms, business owners, and individuals. Our services span cybersecurity consulting, digital forensics, TSCM bug sweeps, threat hunting, and traditional investigations. As we scale our operations, we are seeking motivated professionals to join our team as a Cybersecurity Remediation & Support Specialist on a contractual basis.

Job Description

We are looking for an empathetic, detail-oriented, and resourceful Cybersecurity Remediation & Support Specialist to manage personal privacy and device compromise cases, including but not limited to:

Consumer Device Sweeps & Hardening (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows)
Account Security, Password Management, & Compromise Resolution
Small Business (SMB) Network Assessments & Hardening
Personal Privacy & Digital Hygiene Consulting

Please note: This is a client-facing remediation and IT hardening role, not a deep-dive digital forensics (DFIR) or malware reverse-engineering position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high emotional intelligence, the ability to work independently, and the technical skills required to effectively resolve client security concerns. Candidates must have a proven track record in IT support or cybersecurity remediation and be passionate about providing high-quality, reassuring support to clients navigating highly sensitive and confidential situations.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary, reassuring point of contact for clients reporting suspected device, network, or account compromises.
Conduct comprehensive security reviews of consumer endpoints (mobile and desktop) to detect unauthorized access tools, spyware, stalkerware, or risky misconfigurations.
Remediate threats by removing malicious software, securing compromised accounts (credential resets, MFA implementation), locking down devices, and setting up clients on secure password management systems.
Assess, reset, and harden home or small business networks, including router configuration, firewalls, and Wi-Fi security.
Draft clear, plain-English post-incident reports and digital hygiene checklists for clients.
Utilize case management software to independently manage schedules, client communications, and deliverables.
Maintain absolute confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism in all client interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk escalation, or cybersecurity remediation.
Deep, hands-on familiarity with native security settings, privacy controls, and reset procedures for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows ecosystems.
Experience configuring and securing consumer/prosumer network hardware (e.g., Unifi, Netgear, ISP-provided routers) and foundational SMB security practices.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical realities into simple, reassuring concepts for non-technical clients.
Technologically proficient with tools such as Google Drive (or similar Cloud-based application) and case management software.
Strong writing skills to draft comprehensive, professional post-incident reports.
Ability to provide at least three references (companies, coworkers, or supervisors) to verify technical background and client-facing experience.

Preferred Skills

Experience handling highly sensitive, confidential, or emotionally charged client matters (e.g., executive privacy support, high-stress consulting).
Familiarity with basic Mobile Device Management (MDM) implementation for small businesses.
Relevant IT or security credentials (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar).

Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or vendor-specific endpoint certifications (Apple, Microsoft) are highly preferred. However, we value hands-on experience and excellent client communication skills above paper certifications. Equivalent real-world experience in IT helpdesk escalation, MSP support, or incident remediation will be heavily considered.
