Peet’s is looking for an experienced leader with a strong operations and financial background for our Regional Director position in Northern California. The ideal candidate will be effective in inspiring and motivating a team to deliver financial results, through driving best in class service and operational excellence while building and championing the culture. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with experience in a premium Food and Beverage, QSR or Retail environment. This position supports 70 -100 coffeebars with 7-10 districts comprised of ~1200 Peetniks.

What You Will Do:

Key Responsibilities:

The Regional Director is responsible for overall execution in their coffeebars through daily operational excellence.

This includes:

Ensuring proper position training and effective succession planning across the region
Implementing Peet’s policies, procedures, and operational standards, and maintaining a high level of execution against these standards

Leading the execution of product and brand initiatives
Driving exceptional customer service including friendliness, cleanliness, speed of service and drink quality
Maintaining a working knowledge of the trade area to build relationships and drive revenue

The Regional Director is responsible for creating an engaged and high performing team through coaching, direction, resourcing, and appreciation.

This includes:

Modeling Peet’s values, culture, and leadership behaviors while driving vision
Setting clear objectives and holding teams accountable to high performance expectations
Regularly providing constructive feedback and coaching to direct reports

Creating compelling development plans and actively supporting growth and learning opportunities for direct reports and high potential leaders
Leading and inspiring a rich culture of execution, training, inclusion, development and high-performance

Partnering with leadership to secure and allocate resources for the region
Informing decisions, partnering and providing critical feedback to peers in the home office in a timely manner

The Regional Director is responsible for creating a profitable region where sales, people and financial targets are met.

This includes:

Clearly communicating expectations for performance standards to all team members
Delivering positive sales, traffic, and profit results for both existing and new coffeebars
Delivering against established customer feedback metrics
Supporting District Leaders in attaining employee training, staffing, development, and turnover targets
Ensuring brand initiatives are implemented and performing to set targets

Assisting in the development and implementation of regional and national strategies to exceed annual KPIs

Who You Are:

The Ideal Candidate:

Lives in the Greater Bay Area or Sacramento area
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, predominantly within assigned region as well as all places Peet’s operates
A minimum of 3-5 years multi-unit Director level experience for a premium food and beverage, QSR or retail provider
A minimum of 5 years of P&L management & financial strategy experience
Has strength in the following areas: Strategic Agility, Drive for Results, Instills Trust, Building Effective Teams, Managerial Courage and Decision Quality

Proven track record in driving results and developing teams
Solution and action oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Passion for coffee, customer service, and building teams

Starting base compensation from 160k to 190k plus bonus and other fringe benefits
