You can do all this and more at UCLA Health. As the leader of Pharmacy Services at UCLA Health Santa Monica Medical Center, you will direct day-to-day Pharmacy operations. You will assure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements relating to medication management. This involves managing a large department of highly specialized clinical, technical, and professional licensed staff within a union-represented environment. You will determine departmental objectives, create and direct programs/projects, develop strategies/policies, and manage human, financial, and physical resources and functions with a high degree of autonomy. You will also: • Determine strategies for clinical and operational programs with system-wide impact towards improving patient care • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, standards, policies, and guidelines • Develop strategic plans to align Pharmacy Services with key institutional goals • Develop strategies for reducing and preventing medication errors and events • Manage operational budget Annual Salary Range: $137,800.00 - $362,200.00

Qualifications

We’re seeking a strong, independent clinical leader with a PharmD, current California pharmacist licensure and: • Five or more years of pharmacy management experience with multiple inpatient facilities • ASHP accredited PGY1 residency preferred • ASHP accredited PGY2 Admin or HSPAL residency would account for 2 years of leadership experience/year • Experience managing financial operations, personnel, quality, IT, and other professional aspects of hospital pharmacy practice • Computer proficiency • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills • Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities • Ability to work well independently • In-depth knowledge of relevant pharmacy regulations • Strong customer service orientation • Unwavering commitment to patient safety and quality • Experience implementing pharmacy processes, technology, and capital projects Named one of the top hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, UCLA Health features four award-winning hospitals and more than 250 community clinics throughout Southern California as well as the David Geffen School of Medicine.
