Ancestry seeks a talented Director of Product Management, Social to join our team. You will lead a team of customer obsessed Product Managers and scrum teams building our next generation features to connect customers with their families and the vibrant Ancestry community. This role is responsible for the end-to-end experiences that connect customers with family history, DNA, and user generated content. You will work closely with Product & Technology leadership, Marketing, Public Relations, legal, and customer service to develop and launch the next generation features that help customers discover, craft, and connect around their family story.

What you will do…

Define the vision, strategy, and goals for our social features like homepage, feed, notifications, likes, and comments. In addition, you will build the social roadmap and gain organizational alignment while bridging the gap between both business and customer needs.
Recruit, mentor, and manage an exceptional team of product managers to iterate and execute the roadmap for our social products.
Collaborate with engineering, design, research, marketing, legal, PR, and customer service to build, test, and launch new features to customers across all our product categories.

Who you are…

Extensive leadership experience delivering delightful and innovative consumer Internet and/or social products that resonate with diverse audiences
Demonstrable history of delivering data driven insights and executing at scale (serving millions of customers) through strong partnerships with Design, Research, Engineering, and Analytics.
Ability to craft a product strategy and vision, then translate that into an executable product roadmap catering to a broad spectrum of consumer needs
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with customers, peers, colleagues, and executives spanning various locations both in the US and globally.
