WELCOME

Critical Climate is an expert in the environmental cultivation industry. We are a general contracting firm who designs, builds, retrofits and maintains specialized HVAC systems for indoor agriculture. In conjunction with our collective brands we provide advanced innovative indoor agriculture equipment and technology. We specialize in environmental data centers that generate the best controlled indoor cultivation environments in our field.

Project Managers will coordinate and oversee a team of professionals, providing leadership and accountability to our construction projects. We are looking for an individual who is solution-minded and has excellent communication, time management and organizational skills. This position requires close attention to detail and a proven ability to manage client and vendor relationships while ensuring projects are delivered on time, in alliance with our values and culture.

YOUR ROLE

-Manage & coordinate work of project teams including sub-contractors, internal trades, and contracted consultants.

-Responsible for developing project scope, baseline schedule, budget, look ahead schedule and labor forecasting

-Work productively and effectively with internal team, design consultants, vendors and customers

-Work with design team and general contractors to review construction documents for completeness, consistency and value engineering prior to construction start

-Manage Pay Applications. RFI’s, Change Order Process, and submittals

-Develop and adhere to budget, timeline, and quality control plan

-Manage building permit process through local jurisdictions

-Use scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression

-Effectively utilize and manage Project Engineer and Superintendent

-Facilitate the procurement of necessary equipment and materials

-Perform monthly job cost reviews and report status to accounting and executive staff

-Assures that contractual obligations have been met and that all close-out documents are submitted.

-Attend necessary job meetings.

-Adhere to Safety Best Practices to remain OSHA Compliant

YOU SHOULD HAVE

-Understanding of basic accounting principles and the ability to create and manage a budget

-PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications are preferred

-Bilingual English and Spanish is desired

YOU MUST HAVE

-In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, supply chain, vender relationships, and project management principles: We desire:

-Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping and controls

-Understanding of line and low voltage wiring relays, transformers and wiring diagrams

-Fabrication knowledge including sheet metal fittings and ability to draw metal diagrams

-Expert in Microsoft Suite, Excel, and Google Workspace

-Proficiency in Asana and other related construction/ project management software

-Proficient with CAD, Bluebeam and Solidworks and the ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, Gantt charts and WIP reports

-Familiarity in QuickBooks and related reporting

-Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or relative experience

-Experience in a similar position for 5 - 8 years

-Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience to demonstrate the ability to plan, direct, organize, and manage the activities of others with limited supervision

-A valid driver’s license and clean driving record

-The ability to sit, stand, turn, bend, kneel and reach for up to 8 hours a day and lift up to 25 lbs.
