Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Credit Analyst III be responsible for performing the Credit function for all Sales Divisions of the company, encompassing Retail, eCommerce, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM). This individual will be responsible for reviewing credit applications, financial data, and credit reports to evaluate credit risk and determine credit worthiness of accounts. The Credit Analyst III will monitor ongoing customers and overall portfolio risk, collaborate with other departments for customer-specific information, and lead internal reviews on accounts. In addition, this role will be responsible for customer bankruptcy management as well as maintaining memberships/contacts with appropriate industry trade credit groups.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures for Customer credit evaluation and approval.

Completes the set-up of all new customer accounts including the recommendation of payment terms, establishing credit limits, assessing, and identifying investment-grade ratings, and coordinates with other departments to ensure orders are handled appropriately when processed.

Monitors and assesses credit limits and terms for existing customers and makes recommendations on limits, term changes and management of open orders.

Analyzes and monitors customer credit data delivered by 3rd party credit agencies to aid in recommendations on credit limits, terms, and business viability.

Establishes and maintains credit hold policies and criteria. Oversees orders on credit hold and coordinates with ATC staff and Customer contacts as appropriate.

Leads internal reviews of customer accounts, with a particular emphasis on those considered high risk, by coordinating meetings; collects, analyzes, and summarizes information, provides reports, and performs follow up on open items.

Ensures compliance with any current Company financial requirements or agreements (i.e., Bank Credit Agreements or Customer Agreements) and evaluates new or revised instruments as applicable to the credit function.

Evaluates processes that are associated with customer accounts, makes recommendations on process improvements, and drives efficiencies across the organization.

Researches, analyzes, and recommends the use of credit protection instruments when appropriate.

Performs all periodic credit related tracking and reporting across the organization, including bank collateral reporting and analysis. Accommodates special or ad hoc requests as needed.

Partners with management to oversee all items related to bankruptcy proceedings as appropriate.

Achieves financial objectives by preparing and executing an annual budget and periodic forecast updates for the credit function.

Establishes and maintains relationships with outside credit agencies.

Attends credit trade group meetings on a regular basis.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required

3-5 years professional experience in credit and collections is required, prior experience in a manufacturing organization with retail Customer knowledge is preferred

Demonstrated experience in credit risk assessment

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to form and maintain client and business relationships
