Full Job Description

The Event Coordinator for TIFEC will have the responsibility to deliver professional events as well as oversee every aspect of the event, including the needs of the food and beverage departments, staffing, pre and post event preparations, client interaction, and event execution. This person will need to maintain a working knowledge of the entire complex and all functions pertaining to TIFEC.

Essential Functions

Ability to oversee all functions pertaining to execution of the event.
Serve as an on-site leader during all events.
Execute meeting room set-up, preparation, transition, and tear down.
Professional interaction with guests to facilitate successful meetings and events while creating the ultimate guest experience.
Collaborative coordination with all departments of TIFEC.
Facilitate and assist with all group activities which could include onsite meetings, outdoor activities, guest check-in and guest tours.
Utilize software to present room layouts, various design needs, and event documents to clients.
Ensure that all TIFEC facilities are clean, organized, and presentable so that the guest experience is always consistent.
Represent TIFEC in a professional manner at all times.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Communications, Marketing or other related field preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Event Management and Guest Services in a professional or collegiate setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
Proficient in design programs including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva preferred.
