Tax Manager

Harrison Henderson, PLLC | Tulsa, Norman & Perry, OK

We have an immediate opening for the following position in our Tulsa office:

Tax Manager – Requires a CPA with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in public accounting with an emphasis on tax return review and preparation, reviewing client prepared financial statements and compiling financial statements for non-public small businesses, supervising staff and meeting with clients. This person will also be responsible for assisting clients with their tax planning and projections, as well as advising them on estate planning needs. A large number of our clients are also clients of an in house financial services firm, so this position requires a close working relationship with our client’s financial advisor, especially in the area of tax planning and projections as it pertains to decisions involving the client’s investments. Lastly, our firm provides a number of additional Client Advisory Services (CAS), including outsourcing of various accounting services and roles, business planning and consulting. A willingness to obtain additional specialized certifications, e.g. PFS and CFP would be helpful in providing our clients with the highest level of service and advice that they need, and in working with other professionals as we strive to provide a complete and holistic tax focused planning service for our clients.

This position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, good communication skills, and an understanding of current tax law and accounting principles. Qualified candidates will have the ability to supervise a small number of staff and work well with other professionals (CPAs, EAs, CFPs and Attorneys), to confidently interact in person and via remote connections with high-net-worth clients and business owners. This position requires someone, who has the skills to work in a high-tech office environment that utilizes the following major software programs: Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, Ultra Tax, and all the related Thomson Reuters related accounting programs and firm management software, RIA tax research software, and firm portals.

The candidates for this position will primarily serve our clients in the Tulsa office, and assist, as needed, our Norman and Perry offices. Work is primarily in office, but partial remote work is available after getting fully acclimated with our staff and clients, and as needed by the candidate's personal situation. Compensation for this position will be competitive with firms in our region that reflects the employee’s level of experience and responsibilities. Our goal is to serve our clients in all areas of their tax, accounting & financial planning needs.
