Job Summary:

As a Paramedic with First Priority Mobile Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support and medical care to patients in emergency situations. You will work 24-hour shifts, responding to a variety of emergencies. Your role involves rapid response, patient assessment, advanced medical intervention, and transportation to healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate medical care.
Assess patients’ conditions and determine appropriate medical treatment.
Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and advanced airway management.
Perform CPR, defibrillation, and other life-saving procedures as necessary.
Stabilize patients and prepare them for transport to medical facilities.
Patient Care:
Provide compassionate and efficient patient care.
Monitor and record vital signs and medical histories.
Communicate with patients and their families to explain procedures and provide reassurance.
Transportation:
Safely transport patients to hospitals or other healthcare facilities.
Ensure proper patient handling and transfer to medical staff upon arrival.
Maintain communication with medical personnel en route to the hospital.
Documentation:
Accurately document patient information, treatment provided, and response times.
Complete all required reports and forms in a timely manner.
Equipment Maintenance:
Inspect and maintain emergency medical equipment and supplies.
Ensure the ambulance is clean, stocked, and ready for the next call.
Training and Development:
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Stay updated on the latest medical practices and protocols.
Assist in the training of new paramedics and EMTs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state Paramedic certification.
Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paramedic preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work 24-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and perform effectively in high-stress situations.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and patients.
Stamina to work long shifts and respond to emergencies at any time.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
