Description

As the Director of Clinical Operations, you will be responsible for the overall management and administration of our clinic sites across the north central Ohio service area. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of the clinics, delivering exceptional patient care, and promoting a positive work environment for our dedicated healthcare professionals.

Starting Salary: $80,000/annually

Mission:

Community Counseling & Wellness Centers:

We exist for the sole purpose of providing high quality, professional mental health and substance abuse treatment to the individuals and families of North Central Ohio, including Crawford, Marion, Seneca, Sandusky, and Wyandot Counties.

Third Street Family Health Services:

To deliver comprehensive health and wellness care, accessible to all in the communities we serve.

Provides comprehensive clinical oversight and direction to sites:

Monitors and ensures clinical performance goals are maintained across all health centers. Works with clinical management to optimize staff workflows, and policies and procedures as needed to meet organizational goals.
Works with management to monitor Uniform Data System (UDS) clinical measures throughout the year and assists with final submission annually.
Studies internal processes and works with organizational leadership to improve patient care within the clinics.
Directs implementation of programs and scopes of work to ensure compliance with local, State, and Federal regulations governing the organization (OSHA, HRSA, IPA, etc)
Directs collection, analysis, and interpretation of statistics significant to program planning.
Develop, review and update policies, procedures, process improvement, training, and evaluation that help support efficient clinical workflows, productivity, quality improvement and patient care/service.
Coordinates with Grants coordinator in monitoring, and reporting on all site-specific grant required program performance and activity objectives.
Monitors departmental performance using company performance standards and addresses issues as needed.
Uses expertise to ensure non-provider clinical staff have access to professional development training to ensure the best possible patient care in accordance with professional guidelines and organization policies.
Reviews financial reporting to monitor ongoing budgetary compliance; addresses problems as needed.
Monitors compliance of clinical processes such as vaccine storage and handling, medical waste storage handling and removal, required certifications such as CLIA, etc.
Monitors compliance of equipment management including routine calibration and maintenance checks.

Provides oversight to assigned departments:

Delegate duties and responsibilities to assigned managers and staff; participates in high-priority special projects and activities.
Attends management meetings, relaying pertinent clinical information to attendees.
Works with management to optimize clinical staff workflows as relevant to ensure effective clinical operations.
Directs departmental performance and provides specific instructions to managers and supervisors on completion of tasks/responsibilities.
Prepares and conducts performance appraisals for immediate staff:
Completes performance appraisal documentation.
Meets with employees to review documentation and provide feedback.
Develops and monitors employee development plans as needed.
Oversees, participates in, and approves other departmental employee reviews as needed.

People Operations

Interview candidates and make final recommendations to Human Resources.
Implement disciplinary action with troubled employees.
Initiates proper termination procedures when employee dismissal is imminent. Provide regular feedback to direct reports, documenting the feedback in the personnel file. Complete annual reviews and competencies in a timely and effective manner
On-boarding new team members to their role and department; providing support and guidance throughout the orientation period.
Be a positive role model for all health center staff.

Works in collaboration with other senior staff, directors, and managers on special initiatives.

Reviews policies/procedures for other departments as needed and provides input.
Reviews provider requests for scheduling changes with operations staff.
Maintains and/or oversees the maintenance of all appropriate reports and documentation, including professional development training documentation, and submits documentation to the appropriate parties as necessary.
Attendance
Consistently adheres to organization rules, regulations, and policies, including but not limited to the Third Street Code of Conduct and Compliance policies.
Attends/participates in departmental and organizational meetings as required.
Requires preparation and execution of presentations to large groups.
Accepts and performs other job-related special projects, duties and responsibilities, as required.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
3+ years of leadership experience
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Advanced Degree in one of the following is preferred – Social Work, Nursing, Public Health or Business Administration
