Network Operations Supervisor
Location: This opportunity is available in the Corning, NY and greater Wilmington, NC areas. Remote work options will also be considered in the surrounding areas in NY and NC.
Corning Credit Union is seeking a Network Operations Supervisor to join our IT Team.

Role Summary: The Network Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring both the strategic and tactical direction of the information technology network infrastructure. The supervisor oversees the daily operations of the data processing environment, governs network related projects and provides insight on new technologies.
Essential Job Duties

Encourages and guides the personal and technical development of the Network Team. Leads by example and empowers individuals to make necessary decisions within their functional areas of expertise, allowing for growth and personal accountability.

Takes an individual approach to coaching staff, recognizing each individual learns technical skills, develops professional skills, and retains information at a different rate.

Maintains a high degree of operational involvement to ensure quality, consistency, and stability of the Credit Union's data processing environment.

Sets goals and expectations of project resources. Effectively delegates and distributes workload, holds team members accountable for tasks and regularly reports status to key stakeholders including Senior Management.

Develops and maintains strategic planning documents concerning upgrades, enhancements, and new technology. Works with other IT Leadership to set overall directions of information technology strategies.

Works with the overall management team to set priorities of corporate initiatives across the organization, coordinates with IT Leadership to set priorities for IT initiatives and establishes goals and objectives with the network team related to these initiatives.

Ensures that end-user support is provided in a high-quality manner that is in keeping with the Credit Union's service-based philosophy, culture, and Performance Standards.

Assists with all aspects of the budget process for relevant general ledgers accounts associated with the operations of IT. Participates in the analysis of the operational budget for cost savings opportunities. Works with Senior Management to establish the capital budget and regularly reports on fluctuations.

Keeps current with technology skills. Understands the details of operations, interconnectivity, and architecture of the Corning Credit Union data processing environment.

Maintains a solid working relationship with external vendors. Has the ability to understand and negotiate contracts for services. Keeps all contracts up to date and leverages new vendors when needs arise.

Possesses thorough knowledge of network infrastructure (layer 2/3 devices, wireless, telephony devices, public and private network mediums, access controls).

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; commensurate work experience will also be considered.

Compensation - The Network Operations Supervisor pay range is $95,000 - $145,000 per year. Hiring rates are dependent on several factors, including years of related work experience, education, and geographic location. Corning Credit Union also offers an annual bonus plan as part of its comprehensive compensation package. Additionally, most roles have further levels providing added growth opportunities and earnings potential.
