Planner / Scheduler*
JOB SUMMARY: The Planner / Scheduler will maintain the planning and scheduling processes, schedule, and cascade the resource requirements planning activities for the business. Using system tools and working closely with various functional teams, the incumbent will communicate and ensure production capabilities are maintained to meet overall objectives. This position is required to work closely with all aspects of the business including operations, engineering, materials, quality, contracts, and finance to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will be able to work on a cross functional team and help CED improve its production and customer satisfaction, ensuring on-time delivery, while also balancing revenue goals and sensible internal efficiencies. The Planner / Scheduler has an impact on the company’s ability to deliver quality products on time at an acceptable cost. Customer satisfaction and overall company reputation is affected by performance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Creates Schedules that balances production, engineering, and new product development demands to ensure all requirements and schedules are met. Responsible for the communication between departments to facilitate that plan.
Reviews job / contract requirements in order to identify all requirements.
Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operations according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to meet company goals.
Collaborate with, contracts, finance, engineering, supply chain, production control, quality and manufacturing departments.
Reschedules operations as needed; adjusts schedules to meet unforeseen conditions; identifies root causes related to schedule delays.
Leverages a team of supply chain professionals in order to maintain awareness of job status throughout the facility on daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Leverage D365 and Power BI software tools to forecast projects needs and adjust procedures as necessary.
Participate in job reviews and production meetings with Operations, Contracts, Engineering, Quality, and Materials to assure that all aspects and details of jobs are accounted for in the schedule, including outside process coordination activity.
Understand capacity management relationship to MRP.
Interact with staff at all levels, and with groups of wide social, cultural, and educational diversity.

Perform other job related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:*
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Advanced level MS Project – (MCP Certification a plus).
2. Minimum of 2-5 years scheduling / planning in an ERP/MRP environment. (Microsoft D365 expertise is a strong plus.)
3. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field; or experience related to Aerospace/Military/Government Contracts industries a plus.
4. High Proficiency with MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Project, etc.).
5. Excellent planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
6. Ability to leverage data sets to make informed business decisions, and generate operational capacity plans.
7. Excellent problem solving and strong analytical skills, sound judgment, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.
8. Professional certification (CPIM/CSCP) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
9. Exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of management
10. Must be eligible to possess explosive under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices.
