Full Job Description

The Production Supervisor directs and manages production. Responsible for working with Quality, Maintenance, Shipping/receiving, and Human Resources. Develops and maintains a highly motivated plant organization capable of achieving production goals and objectives.

Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

* Establishes departmental goals consistent with those of the division and company.
* Meets/Exceeds OEE/KPI
* Responsible for the development and monitoring of production budgets.
* Conceives, develops and implements programs and procedures to improve department productivity and quality.
* Implements action plans to effectively utilize people and programs such as; Safety and Health, work groups, etc.
* Administers plant policies in fair and consistent manner.
* Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the operations, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation,organization goals and objectives, planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the department; administration of company policies in fair and consistent manner.

Production Supervisor Reports to the Production Manager.

Production Supervisor Job Requirements:

Bilingual in English/Spanish and prior supervisor experience required. Experience in automotive industry preferred.

Production Supervisor Job Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of overall production and/or manufacturing experience is mandatory.
3 years of supervisory or plant management experience is required.
Experience in oversight of equipment, manufacturing processes, business
processes, and customer applications is essential in this role.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, MS Project and statistical software is essential in this role.
Ability to manage, lead and develop workforce.
People oriented and comfortable working the floor.
Leadership role in cost reduction initiatives.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Production Supervisor Daily Tasks Include:

Clean up production line waste during production and when production is
Completing daily shift production reports
Maintain shift production staffing levels.
Maintain quality and production for shift
Obtain production parameters for upcoming production
Fulfilling the customer demands of areas of operation while making ongoing improvements to processes to advance food safety
Supervising the plant production and maintenance on a production shift
Ensure safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping in assigned areas.
Supervising all areas and facets of plant production during shift operations
Ensuring the production floor meets production targets
Monitoring the production work flow and adjusting production to meet production schedule targets
Supervise daily activities of production employees
Supervise all plant production duties to relieve other production supervisor during vacation
Direct second shift manufacturing operations to meet daily production goals
Oversee the daily production operation and ensure production goals are met
Maintain production and quality standards
Meet production control schedules and maintains continuous flow of production
Improve production quality of products
Achieve minimum production standards in each production unit
Assign daily tasks/assignments to pro
