Personal Banker – Chicago NW Side

We are seeking Universal Banker candidates for our Main Office in Logan Square! Qualified candidates will have proven skills at establishing and growing bank customer relationships, delivering consistently excellent service, and have a high potential and desire for growth into a future management role. Candidates who are initiative-taking, have excellent interpersonal skills and who are well-organized are invited to apply to our fast-paced and community-focused Bank group!

Key job duties and responsibilities:

· Generates new and expand current customer relationships, via customer profiling, needs assessment and offering the best products and services to meet the clients’ needs.

· Opens and services accounts for new and existing customers, ensuring customer’s experience meets or exceeds servicing standards – friendly, courteous, expedient, and accurate.

· Develops in-depth knowledge of all retail banking products and services, as well as insurance and investment products to make appropriate client referrals. Will also engage in referral of clients for Mortgage Loan products, will participate in community events (including some after-hours) and in small business relationship acquisition.

· Partakes in support of Branch operations, including opening and closing of Branch, Safe Deposit Box customer assistance, performing Teller transactions and covering the Information Desk to ensure customers are serviced expediently.

· Responsible for meeting referral goals and supports the Branch management team in the form of coaching and positively reinforcing Branch staff in their referral endeavors.

Additionally, we are seeking candidates who desire can demonstrate the ability to grow and take on additional responsibilities, for development as future Retail Branch positions and growth opportunities become available. This will include one-on-one learning and coaching from existing management staff, and interaction and learning sessions with other key areas and functions within the Bank.

Requirements

Education and Experience

· Seeking candidates with 3+ years of experience of branch banking (teller and Retail Banker roles), which includes having been involved in and responsible for coaching of tellers and other newer staff members, and/or, having decision-making responsibilities on branch transactions.

· OR, a bachelor’s degree and at least two prior years of supervisor/management leadership experience in a customer service and sales role, which involved problem solving and decision-making to satisfy customer needs.

Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent listening, interpersonal and customer service skills resulting in increased business and long-term customer relationships.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to analyze various situations and respond in a professional, straightforward manner in accordance with Bank established procedures/guidelines.

· Solid decision making and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced customer service environment and always conduct all tasks in a professional manner throughout the workday.

· Strong organization and planning abilities.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Ability to operate standard office equipment.
