Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This role requires strong financial acumen and proficiency in financial software to support our accounting processes effectively.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with GAAP.
Manage multiple remote sites ensuring deposits and proper accounting procedures are being followed.
Process accounts payable, including vendor payments, payroll and expense reports.
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Perform cash management tasks, including monitoring cash flow and bank reconciliations.
Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits and tax preparation as needed.
Prepare financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial position.

Skills

Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting practices.
Proficiency in financial software for bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
Knowledge of debits, credits, and general ledger management.
Experience in accounts receivable processes and cash management strategies.
Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
Familiarity with payroll systems and compliance requirements.
Previous experience in public accounting is a plus but not required.
