Full Job Description

Job Summary

At Premier Medical Care, we are honored to support veterans in their pursuit of the benefits and care they have earned. We are currently hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Compact (multi-state) license to conduct virtual telehealth interviews with veterans. This is a non-clinical, documentation-focused role where you will gather relevant medical information, clarify clinical histories, and accurately record data to support disability claims or benefit applications.

This is a work-from-home position that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for veteran advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct telehealth visits (via video or phone) with veterans to collect medical histories and symptom information. (Must be great with technology)
Review medical records and clarify gaps or inconsistencies during patient interviews.
Accurately document findings, statements, and clinical narratives in line with VA or organizational guidelines.
Gather supporting evidence from patients that may be relevant to disability claims (e.g., symptom onset, progression, functional limitations).
Coordinate with providers and case managers to ensure documentation is correct, complete, clear, and submitted in a timely manner.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to VA documentation protocols.
Stay up to date on best practices for medical charting, documentation, and veteran-related healthcare policies.

Qualifications

Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing with Compact (multi-state) status.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (VA or military healthcare experience preferred).
Strong written communication and medical documentation skills.
Proficiency with electronic records systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to work independently from a secure, quiet home office with reliable internet.
High level of professionalism and sensitivity when working with the veteran population.

Preferred Experience but will train the right candidate:

Prior experience with VA disability claims, C&P exams (Compensation and Pension examinations), or DBQ (Disability Benefits Questionnaire) documentation.
Familiarity with veteran or military health systems.
Background in utilization review, case management, or clinical chart review.
