This is an advanced administrative position within the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department’s (PROS) Communications & Marketing Division, serving as the department's Digital & Print Media Coordinator. The incumbent will support the PROS Communications Manager with the coordination of all videos, photography and social media work product for various business units while ensuring consistency with the branding requirements of the Mayor's Office and central Communications across all websites and platforms. This position will play an integral role in supporting the Department's communications strategy.

This position will create/coordinate, disseminate, and analyze the effectiveness of web content across various platforms to include social media, e-mail, websites, and applications while ensuring consistency of messaging and branding throughout. This position will copyedit online communications and interact with customers via various media outlets. The incumbent will support the planning and implementation of the Department's communications strategy to include social media and email campaigns, the management of social media accounts, development of online advertising strategies, oversight of email outreach campaigns for a variety of initiatives and events for newsletters and all other media publications and generating analytic reports across all platforms to recommend and implement adaptations based on findings. Duties include researching, writing, editing, proofing and oversight of production schedules and timelines.

The incumbent in this position will assist with developing the Department's internal communications strategy in support of the Division Manager, for staff and external stakeholders on digital media skills and best practices. This position will coordinate and implement marketing and multi-media projects; participate in creating public awareness through advertising and social media; assist in facilitating information and coordination with the media and designated Communications Division staff; provide digital communications support for all major conferences, convenings, and events; and serve as a liaison for all multi-media activities throughout the Department.

This position will also create and maintain the Department's social media editorial calendar; develop and disseminate collateral marketing materials including e-newsletters, magazines, brochures, fliers, etc.; ensure social media and communication policies and protocols are updated as required by central Communications; collaborate with central Communication’s staff requirement to serve as the Communications Representative for the PROS Department during emergency and natural disaster events for the County’s Emergency Operations Center; and perform other related duties as required.
