Full Job Description

FCCBH needs a Licensed Mental Health Therapist specializing in crisis management in Utah’s Carbon and Emery Counties. FCCBH is the Local Mental Health Authority and is responsible for mental health evaluations and hospitalization for local adults and children in crisis. This will be the primary work performed by the person hired. This position requires being “on-call” for a rotating 3-4 days on and 3-4 days off. Receive outstanding training and diverse experience. Coordinate with community partners and resources. This position allows for a flexible schedule and multiple days off in a row. Receive an excellent benefits package including a signing bonus of $1500 total, $750 upfront, and $750 after two years of longevity! Must have or qualify for licensure in Utah. Salary is dependent on licensure and experience, and the chosen candidate will receive an additional $400 bi-weekly on top of negotiated salary. Maintaining confidentiality is essential. All FCCBH clinics are NHSC approved educational loan repayment program sites.

Basic Function: Works as a team member to provide integrated mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment to individuals, families and groups. Provides consultation to other caregivers and community agencies and / or groups. Acts as primary therapist for all assigned clients.

Performance Objectives:

Maintain productivity according to current Center standard.

Follow Utah Preferred Practice Guidelines for assessment and the provision of clinical services at a 90% standard.

Include consumers in decision-making about their services 100% of the time, including collaborative development of managed care plans with measurable, positive goals and timeframes.

Provide crisis response services within fifteen minutes for all crisis responses and participate in on-call / emergency rotation as assigned.

Keep records according to FCCBH current policies, standards and protocols on 100% of assigned cases including: assessment, MCP and PN.

Supervise non-mental health therapist staff as assigned by assisting with assessments, diagnosis and care planning with 90% responsiveness as assigned when licensed.

Complete timesheets and documentation of services provided per policy guidelines.

Return calls and messages within twenty-four hours 90% of the time.

Participate in clinical staffings, case conferences and Center committees as requested.

Manage caseload based on current FCCBH standards, policies and protocols.

Carry out other assignments and special duties as requested.
