Overview:

**Open to remote candidates throughout the contiguous United States – strong preference for candidates in Eastern Time Zone**

As a Network Support Engineer, you will serve as a key contributor to the ePlus sales process by performing troubleshooting and installation work on various computer and networking hardware, software and video conferencing, digital signage, audio-visual integration and other visual communication equipment.

Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

Assist Director of Services Support & Strategy with creating, developing and deploying national assessment solutions.
Perform new national assessment solutions for various regions within ePlus.
Perform day to day network troubleshooting operations on customer accounts.
Provide technical expertise/credibility to regional account teams on ePlus national assessment solutions and Product offerings ("Focus Areas")
Assist sales and services management in identifying candidate solution areas for ePlus development/investment.
Complete training per development plan and maintain certifications in accordance with Focus Area.
Assist Director of Services Support & Strategy with helping improve procedures and functions as well as identifying the need for additional assessment tools and solutions.
Assist regional account teams with collecting customer business and technical requirements and determining ePlus recommended solution(s).
Build and review Statement of Work (SOWs) and create Level of Effort (LOEs) documents ensuring quality and accuracy.
As appropriate, assist ePlus sales team in dealing with customer satisfaction issues surrounding technical aspects of a recommended solution.
Ensure appropriate coverage for in-process opportunities while out of office for training, vacation, PTO, etc.
Review relevant human resources policies and procedures as well as conduct and expense guidelines and ensure compliance.
Complete administrative tasks (expenses, time reporting) in timely fashion.

Job Knowledge/Skills:

Must be fully knowledgeable and able to diagnose, install and repair one or more of the following technologies:

Networking
Network monitoring tools, such as:
- LiveAction
- NetBrain
- SolarWinds
- Wireshark

Education and Experience:

CCNA, or higher, required.
2+ years’ hands-on experience with commonly used configuration and monitoring tools for network troubleshooting.
2+ years of experience in configuring or implementing networking solutions.
Working experience using MS Excel and Visio applications
Knowledge of API programming preferred but not required.

Position Specifics:

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $55,000 and $90,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Physical Requirements of Position:

Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time. May have to exert or lift up to 10 – 20 pounds of force occasionally and active work that could include climbing a ladder and using power tools.
