- Pay Range: $30-35 per hour, plus H&W of $4.57 per hour
- Clearance Required - Active DoD Secret Clearance

Job Title: Mailroom Clerk (Temporary / 4-8 weeks)
Position Summary: The highly organized and detail-driven candidate will provide Mailroom support to a government agency in Arlington, VA. They must be customer-focused, punctual, proactive, collaborative, and flexible, with the ability to build strong working relationships with staff and customers at all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming mail. A) Screen mail by checking return address, postmark and mailing address. B) Check names on incoming and outgoing mail against ONR email accounts.
- Sort and distribute mail. A) Segregate misrouted mail to return to sender. B) Forward screened mail to mall clerks for sorting and distribution.
- Open mail following established guidance (see section C 2.3) on mail handling and what to do in an emergency.
- Process outgoing mail for pick up by United States Postal Service (USPS) or FedEx.
- Log accountable Certified, Registered or Express mail in Access database.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Active DoD SECRET Clearance
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in operating a centralized Mail Room
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in operating an automated supply inventory management system.
- Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
