Minimum Education and Experience
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Sciences or a related field and past teaching experience. This will be a renewable appointment at the rank of Teaching Instructor and salary commensurate with experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience teaching introductory geology or other introductory Earth science courses to both science and non-science majors. to non-geology majors in both in person and virtual formats. Experience with Online Learning Management Systems is required and familiarity with active learning and current pedagogical methods and course design is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Instruction will vary with some sections taught as in person and some in the virtual mode.
