Full Job Description

Duties

You will be responsible for the efficient and effective operations of administrative functions for the Command and for the execution of these functions across their assigned Team and within 89000.
You will maintain focus on organizational concepts and human resources; interfacing with Command Leadership, as well as Headquarters, NIWC Pacific, and internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the customer.
You will analyze internal and external communication needs for the customer(s) as well as support and maintain the strategies for collaboration and communication internal and external to the team(s).
You will collaborate, coordinate, and communicate on administrative functions to champion process improvement and accuracy across the Command.
You will take an active role in mentoring junior employees by pursuing and/or creating development opportunities, ensuring continuity of knowledge and skills.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge and understanding of management principles, techniques, and skill in integrating administrative and management services within an organization.

Additional information

This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories. The pay schedule and pay band for all Administrative Specialist/Professional Positions will be NO-1/2/3/4/5/6.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
