Building Products Plus is a supplier and manufacturer of structural timber products and specialty building materials for marine & shoreline, commercial, industrial, and custom residential projects. Based in Houston, TX, we supply projects across the United States and beyond.

Job Overview:

Building Products Plus (DBA, American Pole and Timber) is currently seeking a talented Marketing Content Creator to join our dynamic marketing team and play a crucial role in promoting our brand and products through various channels. This is a direct-hire, full-time position.

As a Marketing Content Creator, you will be responsible for developing engaging and informative content to showcase our specialty building materials and manufactured products. Your primary focus will be on creating written articles for blog posts, producing video content, developing social media materials, and ensuring effective content distribution. In addition, you may have the opportunity to organize and attend events to further promote our brand. The ideal candidate should possess excellent writing skills, video editing experience, familiarity with WordPress website management, and a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Create and distribute high-quality written content such as blog posts and articles to distribute via websites, press releases, and email newsletters.
Create, edit, and distribute engaging video content that showcases our products, our company, and customer testimonials.
Create visually appealing and compelling social media content for various platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
Manage content distribution across multiple channels to maximize brand exposure and reach the target audience.
Monitor and attend to website inquiries via chat.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute content marketing strategies.
Stay updated on industry trends and conduct research to ensure that the content remains relevant and informative.
Assist in planning and organizing marketing events, including trade shows, workshops, and product demonstrations.
Attend events as a company representative, engaging with potential customers, and promoting our brand.
Monitor and analyze the performance of content across different platforms, using key metrics to optimize future content creation efforts.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Proven experience in content creation, preferably in a manufacturing or construction-related industry.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to tailor content for different platforms and target audiences.
Proficiency in video editing software and experience in creating engaging video content.
Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices for content creation and engagement.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies and content distribution techniques.
Familiarity with WordPress website management is highly desirable.
A clean driving record and the ability to travel to events when necessary.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate new and innovative content ideas.

Preferred:

Experience with WordPress website design
Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Experience in lumber, timber, or building materials industries

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
