First Shift: Mon-Tue-Wed-Fri-8am-6pm and Thur 8am-5pm

Must have 2+ years of phlebotomy experience on teens to geriatric patients and hard sticks.

Position Responsibilities:

Phlebotomist technician with experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection as required.
Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
Fully understand all of the physicians' orders.
Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 year of work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting on teens to geriatrics, and hard sticks
Pediatrics a plus
Specimen processing and data entry
Comfortable working alone and in an OBGYN setting
High School Diploma or GED
Must pass a color vision test
