What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a hands-on and versatile Full Stack Engineer to join our growing tech team. This role will support the development of new features, optimization of performance, and maintenance of the systems that power Colossal’s online experiences. You’ll be involved in every part of the development lifecycle from planning and architecture to testing and deployment while collaborating cross-functionally to help us scale our platform and amplify our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end components for our applications
Collaborate with product managers and other developers to define and implement new features
Translate product requirements into technical specifications and architecture
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern frameworks and languages
Optimize application performance, database queries, and infrastructure for speed and scalability
Troubleshoot bugs, identify bottlenecks, and fix defects in a timely manner
Ensure application security best practices across the full stack
Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and testing to maintain high code quality
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to keep our stack modern
Participate in planning and agile development processes

Our Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
7+ years of experience in full-stack software development or related experience
Proficiency in Go and PHP. Font-end frameworks React and Python or similar
Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS)
Understanding of version control systems like Git and collaborative workflows (e.g. GitHub/GitLab)
Comfortable working in agile environments with rapid iteration and feedback loops
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Experience with testing frameworks and test-driven development is a plus.
