Full Job Description

Paragon Geochemical Laboratories is recruiting a dynamic team member who embraces advances in technology and is looking for an opportunity to be part of a collaborative team.

LABORATORY TECH - DIGESTION

Our digestion team is responsible for solutions that are analyzed in our laboratory. Using Aqua Regia, Sulfuric Acid, Nitric Acid, NiaCN and 4 acid digestion methods. They dissolve and prepare samples according to industry standard procedures. Since digestion is a critical step in all our processes. Our digestion technicians also take an active role in Paragon’s quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare reagents including acid mixtures and dilutions

Monitor equipment condition and performance and conduct routine maintenance as required

Perform acid digestions according to strict standard operating procedures to ensure data consistency for our clients

Follow all safety procedures and proactively identify hazards

The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Equivalent combination of education and relative work experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry a plus but not required.

Experience working with acids and fume hoods

Experience in wet chemical digestion techniques

Capable and willing to work in a respectful and collaborative professional environment that is focused on delivering for our clients
