Full Job Description

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital/Alexandria is looking for an experienced Progressive/Intermediate Care Registered Nurses (RN) to join the team.

Previous experience in: Progressive Care, Intermediate Care, Intensive Care, Neuro and Telemetry strongly preferred. Or med surge nurses that want to grow into PCU as a Fellow.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team
Consistently provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. All patient care and interactions are patient and family centered
Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education
Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Has respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines
Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery
Leadership skills demonstrated in decision making and problem solving

Requirements:

Work schedule: Full Time, 3x12's, Night Shift or Days (7p-7a) 7a- 7p
Education: BSN or ADN (If ADN: must complete/obtain BSN within 5 years of start date)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting O*_r med surge nurses that want to grow into PCU as a Fellow.*_
Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association & VA RN license
