Senior Software Developer
Duties: Lead application development to deliver high-quality software solutions. Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance culture. Encourage innovation and continuous learning within the team to enhance productivity and job satisfaction. Work with internal departments such as operations, sales, and finance, and external trading partners. Drive various initiatives aimed at compliance enhancement, functional improvements, and ongoing organizational growth. Spearhead the expansion of the company's product portfolio by identifying and leveraging opportunities for technological and process innovations. Engage both internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions that drive competitive advantage. Manage relationships with external development teams. Define clear project scopes and success criteria and oversee the development process to ensure outcomes align with strategic objectives and timelines. Act as the product owner for our proprietary inventory and distribution management software. Define and continually refine the product vision and roadmap, aligning development efforts with the organization's strategic goals. Lead ongoing software enhancements to adapt to changing business needs and user expectations. Foster a culture of innovation that introduces new features, leveraging cycles of feedback and data-driven insights to inform development priorities. Ensure each software update builds on the previous, seamlessly integrating new functionalities that address emerging market trends and technological advancements. Implement rigorous testing protocols to maintain the highest standards of quality and reliability. Manage the rollout of updates to ensure smooth transitions. Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring product developments meet customer expectations and achieve organizational objectives. Translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements, bridging gaps between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Oversee the development and management of an Android app designed for robust inventory tracking, routing, and driver management, which includes features for recording driver notes, tracking fuel usage and mileage, and confirming proof of delivery. Ensure the mobile application is user-friendly, reliable, and effectively supports operational tasks with enhanced functionality and user experience. Utilize AI models for forecasting sales and developing predictive algorithms. Upgrade IT infrastructure and software solutions to reflect the latest industry best practices, enhancing efficiency and security. Develop and implement scalable processes to meet growing IT demands, ensuring robust support for expanding operations and user base. Lead cloud migration projects, collaborating with the Technology Manager to ensure a smooth transition with minimal operational downtime. Strategize and execute detailed migration plans that prioritize data integrity and system availability. Enhance fault tolerance and strengthen disaster recovery capabilities. Work with the Technology Manager to design and implement resilient systems that minimize potential service disruptions. Oversee the implementation of advanced database replication strategies. Ensure high availability and data integrity by adopting cutting-edge technologies and methodologies that guarantee continuous data accessibility.
Requirements: Requires Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, and 5 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving design and development of software solutions. Experience specified must include 5 years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, software applications, tools, systems and services, including using C#, C++ and C. Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with MS Office, MS Visio and JIRA or similar platforms. Experience specified must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: coaching and reviewing work of Software Developers; designing and developing web applications using .NET Framework, ASP.NET, and ASP.MVC; collaborating with remote teams; and Project Management.
