About Redeem These Ashes

Redeem These Ashes is a 501C3 nonprofit Christian ministry that emerged from the transformative journey of former Radio Host and Pastor, Joey Krol. After years of battling with pornography, which ultimately led to his arrest for a sex crime, Krol experienced a profound transformation while incarcerated. He found redemption and healing through Christ and dedicated himself to helping others break free from the devastating effects of sexual sin. Today, as a changed man, our Founder ministers to men and their families who have been impacted by this pervasive sin.

Vision: We envision a society free from the grip of pornography.

Mission Statement: Our mission is to educate on the dangers of pornography, advocate for its removal, and offer hope and healing through Jesus Christ, who empowers us to live a life of freedom.

What We Do

Free Accountability App: We are developing In the Light, a free app to help individuals remain accountable as they navigate freedom from pornography.
Education and Awareness: Our founder shares his powerful testimony at churches and events, equipping others to find freedom in Christ.
Support for Fallen Pastors: We minister to pastors and ministry leaders who have experienced moral failure, helping them rediscover hope, redemption, and a restored relationship with Christ.

Position Overview: Redeem These Ashes is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Mobile Developer to join our team.

We are embarking on an innovative project to create an accountability software that works on devices, providing users with reports to share with their accountability partners. There’s nothing else out there like this product. What makes it unique is our commitment to offering this software free of charge, with funding secured through donations and grants. By eliminating financial barriers, we aim to empower individuals to overcome the stronghold of pornography.

As a volunteer Mobile Developer, you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals break free from the grip of pornography addiction and contribute to building a society free from its horrible effects.

The project is almost done.We just need your help to bring it over the finish line!

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development and implementation of the iOS/Android version of our existing React Native application.
Set up the iOS/Android build environment, including configuration in Xcode.
Write clean, maintainable, and platform-specific code where necessary to ensure a high-quality user experience on iOS devices.
Ensure the software meets high ethical and privacy standards.
Assist in preparing the application for submission to the Apple App Store.
Contribute to the shared JavaScript/TypeScript codebase that powers both platforms.

Qualifications:

Required:

Proven experience in mobile development with React Native.
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Demonstrable experience with the iOS development ecosystem (Xcode, TestFlight, App Store Connect).
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
A strong commitment to the organization's mission and values.
