JOB DETAILS:
Position: Mainframe Systems Analyst/Developer (IMS)
JOB REF#: 43746 - JIH5JP00003804
Duration: 12+ Months (On-Going Contract)
Location: HYBRID - Torrance, CA 90501
Pay Rate: $66.67 per hour (W2 ONLY)

HYBRID: MUST be able to work ONSITE 4 days per week (mandatory).

Mainframe Systems Analyst/Developer will support this clients IMS parts applications. This role isn t just coordination or documentation, it requires providing hands-on across design, development, testing, and architecture. Strong IMS experience is required to safely deliver enhancements and support high-volume, mission-critical systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Analyze business requirements and create and manage the completion of units of work completed by the successful candidate and other team members.
Assigned units of work vary from 100 hour enhancements, up to team member on a large project.
Gathering requirements, functional and Detailed analysis/design, testing (unit, integration, system, user acceptance), implementation, documentation, warranty.
Defining architectural solutions to meet application requirements.

Providing project status updates to Project Mgr/Leads:
30-40% - Analysis/Design roughly
30-40% - Development (code, unit test, int test, system test, UAT, Implement, Warranty) roughly
20-40% - Architectural solutions roughly

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING: (resume must reflect this experience)
Experiences serving as the Business System Analyst (BSA) for Information Technology
Must have experience gathering/defining and documenting system requirements for business application system functionalities
Must have experience leading testing activities (i.e. create test plans, test cases, conduct UAT - User Acceptance Testing, etc...)
Any experience with Supply Chain in Automotive service parts field is desired, but not required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- - Candidates MUST have extensive experience with IMS (understands IMS data structures, PSBs, DBDs, segments, and access paths ) to be considered for this role- -
Must have RECENT/CURRENT hands-on coding (COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, DB2) to support all phases of the System Development Life Cycle .
Must have experience as a Business Systems Analyst, gathering requirements, functional and detailed analysis/design, testing, implementation, and documentation
Experience working in Microsoft Development technologies, such as .Net core, MVC.Net, C#, and/or Angular is a plus.
Working knowledge of Software Engineering, Software Development, Solutions Architecture and implementation of medium to large scale systems across multiple platforms
Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines across the enterprise Understanding of technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices Technical aptitude of multi-tier and cross platform architectures across the enterprise.
Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodology.
