Full Job Description

Then come join our growing company, where our headcount has grown by over 60% since January 2025! Rosenberger North America Akron, an innovative global leader in RF technology, is currently seeking a Product Engineering Technician to join our team.

About The Position:

This is a Non-Exempt (Hourly) position in a climate controlled facility. 1st shift, 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with biweekly pay.

The Product Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers. The Technician creates and revises product drawings, BOMs, and technical data sheets. They also assist in product development and testing.

Rosenberger North America offers a 401k with 6% company match 60 calendar days after hire (both Pre-Tax and Roth options), Parental Leave (Maternity and Paternity after 1 year of full-time employment), Health/Vision/Dental plans the month following month of hire, 10 paid company holidays, and Paid Time Off.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

Evaluate written and/or verbal documentation from customers and engineers to ensure product meets desired requirements.
Assist with organization and storage of customer documentation.
Create parts and BOMs in the ERP system for quotes, orders, or samples to assist Quoting/Engineering teams.
Create and maintain production drawings including calculating/verifying product requirements.
Create and maintain product configuration tools and master database(s).
Build, evaluate, and test samples created to verify compliance with customer/engineering requirements.
Assist in CAPA (corrective action/preventative action), driven by QA.
Act as a liaison between Engineering and other departments regarding processes and technical details.
Assist in the creation of other documents (templates, procedures, work instructions).
Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s degree in a technical discipline required, or equivalent experience.
Prior manufacturing experience preferred. RF/Coax product experience a plus.
Experience with 3D CAD, Creo/PARAMETRIC preferred. Other 3D CAD experience (e.g. SolidWorks) also accepted. AutoCAD a plus.
Knowledge of soldering, particularly electrical or electronic products. Cable or wire assembly experience a plus.
Knowledge of the cable industry, requirements, and standards, including IPC/WHMA-A-620 preferred. IPC endorsement a plus.
Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications. GD&T a plus.
Strong computer aptitude (MS Office, especially Excel and Word; PowerPoint and Visio a plus).
Experience with an ERP system.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Excellent analytical and creative thinking, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and strong attention to detail. Ability to reason through and identify root causes of issues.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines and react quickly to changing priorities with flexibility.
Maintains regular, predictable attendance.
Effectively communicate in English with reading comprehension. German proficiency a plus.
