I was a freelancer and I was hired by 5CA to support complex implementation projects in Payroll/HR area and lead their Payroll Organization. 
I spent very intense 18 months at 5CA, interacted with people on all organization levels, and I think I can reliably speak about what I saw 

As for the prons:
•	Working environment/company culture - the respect, the friendliness, the sense of common objective struck me from the moment I joined, and I continued to observe that during the 1.5 years I stayed there. Despite the fact 5CA is fully remote (the only office is in Utrecht, the Netherlands), the working atmosphere is very good and keeps on improving through different initiatives that are run within the organization. It's evident their leaders care about the employee well-being and want to keep the dialogue with their workforce open, at all levels
•	Leadership - their senior leaders think straight, communicate openly and directly, are approachable, supportive and - above all - listen to reason. It gave me the comfort to realize my objectives
•	Systems & tools - I am definitely not an expert, but I saw that 5CA follows new trends in technology and applies new solutions as they become available. Of course, this is an ever-evolving domain so there's no end state to that, but during the time at 5CA I myself learned to use some tools/new functionalities (i.e. within MS Teams) that I didn't know before
•	Compensation & benefits - this surely depends on the department you're in, but generally I think the compensation that 5CA offers is competitive. What I am certain about though is that if you are serious about what you do, and do your job well, you will be respected there and your performance will be recognized

And the cons:
•	Professional growth/career opportunities - not sure if that can be considered a proper con, as for the core business streams I think the growth paths are very clear - from a role of an Agent (3 different levels I think), through a Team Lead, Operations Mgr (2 levels I think) to an Operations Director. And this is a real thing, I met a some people who went the full/nearly the full path.  

However, if you join one of the supporting functions the career path may not be that clear, as you may find the options limited, at least in some of them. This is normal for the companies of 5CA's current size though and I'm pretty sure the number of options becomes greater (interesting projects, new positions) as the company grows with time. And, based on what I've seen, 5CA certainly has some very good potential to do so



I was hired here over a year ago and I can't say anything wrong about the company. They provide you with a vast amount of courses and learning opportunities to help you grow. If you're doing your work correctly, there's no need to worry about anything.

After 9 months of being with the team, I received a salary raise and a month later, a promotion to another department. Everything depends on how good you are, how you connect with people, and enjoy your work.

The management and engagement teams are doing their best to make us feel comfortable working here. It's a very diverse space where everyone can be whoever they want to be.

The most difficult part is to understand that even if we are working remotely from our homes, we are still in work. Some of the people can be tempted by that and can try to do different things on the side - they shouldn't. As for me, it was very easy to adapt to this new environment and what's the funniest thing is, by working remotely I meet plenty of fantastic people there.

This is without a doubt the worst company I have ever worked for. They handle customer support for a few well known tech companies and games publishers. The upper management are elitist and try to paint a false image of the company and anyone that steps out of line of that super polished image gets hammered. The pay was horrendous given the unreasonable targets that were expected. Managers are essentially told to lead the workers on for a couple of months until a fresh batch of workers will replace them. They hire only slightly more people than they fire and call it seasonality. There is favoritism and discrimination at play here on a level I have never seen before and HR is merely there for show. You have no rights at this company, do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

Been working for more than a year at 5CA. Got to learn a lot and meet different people.
Pros: 
* Working from home, comfortable setting.
* Great working environment. Super friendly helpful colleagues.
* Great team leads that help you advance and reach your goals.
* Diversity and inclusion.

Cons: 
* Feeling used and overworked.
* Very low pay.
* No benefits (no PTO, no security, working as a freelancer)
* Constant monitoring.
* Lots of new procedures implemented every day.
* Work kinda repetitive.
* Many people coming and going in the company.

I feel sad that this is the case for a company I dearly love and have many good friends at. If they stop overusing people and develop a good paying strategy that gives its people what they deserve, it would be the best company to ever work at.

Everything's fine here, aside from the confusing guidelines and instructions provided in the agent's manual.

Also, agents aren't always equipped with the latest information on the supported product, which may cause a lot of confusing and misunderstanding between you and the customer if you aren't careful.

But if you took the initiative and address the problem you have, most likely your Team Lead or management staff will help you in resolving it.

TL;DR: Expect a lot of unexpected circumstances in the work, especially at the beginning; and taking initiative on everything is key to surviving and thriving in your job.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Provides  options in permanently  working from home.  Purely non voice and you can choose your schedule. Company is very accomodating to their employees. Company is also generous. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Daily quota.but manageable. Stressful only when ur a beginner. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Non in particular. Culture is very diverse and you cN easily communicate  with colleagues via teams. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Chill feeling everyday. It will really depend on your performance on how you will be graded.

Pros
Timely pay every week. Never faced a delay during my 1 year of contract.
Project work load as a live support agent was sometimes hectic and sometimes easy but overall ok.

Cons
Low pay. I mean way too low. I worked on s2b project with a measly 3.41 $ per hour (out of which ~8% is deducted by golance means effectively 3.14 $ is all I got)
Did not got a raise after 6 months despite being one of the top 3 performers in my team

Advice for management
Improve pay for contractors if you want then to stay for long term. It shall be Minimum 5-6 $ per hour to start with considering that they are not on payroll (no benefits like medical, paid leaves, ESOP) so hourly pay is all they have

I don't recommend this company for any long term. If you start on the bottom - it's not really possible to go up. The pay is very poor for such amount of work and the dedication and the eye for detail such as 1 minute lateness is already a consequence in your pay - I'm not exaggerating. 1 minute lateness to being online and you're treated badly. Besides this, the demands from your daily work are unbelievable and they seem to want both - quantity and also quality - unfortunately it doesn't go in pair.

It used to be great. Then they fired a bunch of people, let go some of their best agents and all that's left is distrust, stress and no enjoyment. You're blamed for everything and you will find yourself looking for new employment on every unpaid break and vto you receive. No benifits for payroll agents and you won't get a pay raise. The pay is very low and they will over work you. Policies are updated every day and if you miss one update you'll be dinged when they evaluate you.

Depending on the project that you are in, my project has one of the worst Team Lead I have ever met. 

Not only that, the guidelines/KBs provided by my project is confusing and lengthy. 

Sometimes, you do not even know what to do so that you can assist the customers.

The management only cares about your KPI and whether you hit it or not but did not factor in the volume when it is low.

They will then find a "reason" or more like an excuse to kick you out from the company.
