When I applied for this position I didn't really know what ATC was, so when I received a very casual text from them a few days later asking if I was still interested I was a bit confused. The process from there got even weirder. When I said I was interested, he then texted me a list of documents he needed from me including a copy of my driver's license, SS card, nursing license, etc. Since he never explained the company, the hiring process, what to expect from the job, I never talked to him over the phone (only text or email), and there was no interview at all; then asking for those documents from me right off the bat was really odd to me. I tried asking him to explain the company and hiring process to me and it was like pulling teeth. I never got the detailed description I wanted, he would give me bits of information as we went. Very frustrating. But I was intrigued by the ability to make my own schedule and the ability to work in numerous settings whenever the need arose. So I continued with the company. My first assignment (which was also my first ever job as a nurse) was at a long term care facility. They pretty much just told me the address and when my shift would be, nothing else. So when I got there, the facility assumed I'd know what I was doing and gave me a brief tour and expected me to function entirely on my own for my whole night shift even though I'm fresh out of school. I was able to get a nurse to stay and help a little longer, thankfully. But, I'd say ATC creates unsafe situations for facilities by sending untrained/new nurses out to random places that they know nothing about and expecting them to provide complete patient care and medication administration without proper orientation. Overall, annoying/confusing hiring process, scary first day. Only benefit in my opinion is the flexibility and ability to make your own schedule. If you're a seasoned nurse and want some change of scenery then this might be a good company for you. New nurses beware.

At first you are great, new blood, new creative ideas. Pure joy.
You are offered a flexible schedule, asked to work hard and take on additional responsibilities as soon as you are ready. You are motivated and respected. You start noticing that the other employees are not treated as politely and respectfully as you. At first it doesn't bug you. You get all the support you need, all the tools to learn the job. You get to participate in company's parties and after-hours hangouts. It's awesome. That one other person though, is still getting poor treatment from the management. It lingers in the back of your head, but you carry on because you love the job and you're good at it. Time passes by, that other employee gets more frustrated, is openly disrespected, cannot do anything right and fears for their position in the company. Even though that on employee was the perfect one before you got there. But now you are the ideal employee and they are wrong about pretty much everything. That person is tired of it all and quits their job. Now you are wearing all the hats at work, because you don't have enough people. You're doing personal favors for the management, taking your private time help out, because you simply care. Still carrying on, because you still love what you do. You cannot do it all, definitely not getting paid to do it all. You find another employee and BAM!!! Same story starts happening to you. They are great, and you don't seem to be doing anything right anymore. This pattern happened to two other people beside me. One day I just got fired for no reason. A box full of my stuff was packed and I have been told to leave immediately. When I asked about the reason for terminating my employment, I was told that the company is not obligated to provide one. 
Had I listened to my gut, when I saw that one-star opinion online about this place, I wouldn't have wasted my time and been treated like that after all I have given to this company.

 Excelled in a role requiring the ability to handle a variety of customer service and administrative tasks. Expanded my territory to increase revenue through marketing and recruiting.
 Reviewed timecards daily and entered time weekly for payroll processing. Resolved client and staff issues( billing ,payroll, scheduling conflicts)
 Started as a front desk receptionist and credentialist. In the staffing industry I was responsible for all candidates that came in to be processed to become members of our field staff. This includes going over application, I9, w2 and all proprietary ATC paper work. As well as getting their file ready for the interview process. I administered all appropriate skills testing.
 Organized employee profiles to send to clients, answer all incoming calls and redirected them to office personnel. Created reports for expiring credentials and followed up with field staff to bring them in to compliance.
 Created week ending detailed reports on services rendered. Skilled in the process for file preparation for JACHO accreditation. Trained in HIPPA and OSHA policies and procedures. Competent in medical terminology. Ordered office supplies according to a budget.
 Currently handling On-call services during after hour operations. Resolve staffing issues, staffed shifts and continued communication with clients and employees. Reported after hour activities to internal office staff.

A typical day at work consisted of primarily paperwork for the Registered Nurse who was responsible for the complete skilled nursing patient assessment for at least 10 patients and sometimes more. The RN was also responsible for all intravenous medications that were ordered for his/her patients. The RN worked with other RNs and LPNs most of whom were permanent employees of the state as well as hospital aides who solely were provided by ATC by contract. The work environment was the medical center for prison inmates with medical and surgical issues and I learned about working as a health care provider within that system. My co-workers were a mixture of unusual and challenging personalities along with those with whom it was fairly easy to work. The hardest part of the job was going through a time of "testing for the first several months in the form of difficult and disgruntled co-workers and also working the 3rd shift. The most enjoyable part was simply being employed full time in a profession that I greatly enjoy and having to travel to only 1 workplace site for the most part.

I have worked at ATC for 6 years and it has been the best company I have worked for.  They have given me numerous work assignments that have been the most rewarding experiences in my 30 years of being a nurse.  I have worked at many different schools as a school health room nurse.  I have learned a great many things that have helped in my nursing duties as the schools are so diverse in how they do day to day operations.  I also have learned to appreciate many diverse cultures in the schools I have worked in as nurse.  I have enhanced my personal abilities as a nurse and as a person after having worked with so many diverse individuals and work cultures. I love working with the students and I have worked well with school staff who have appreciated be as a nurse and as a positive mentor for students.  I have also worked as a nurse for other ATC assignments such as a hospice nurse and as an assisted living facility nurse.  The jobs I have worked with ATC have been the greatest of my entire nursing experience.

I have been a contractor through ATC Healthcare for 9 months and am desperately seeking a new position. The management for this company is absolutely terrible. I have gone to my supervisor multiple times about issues with problems involving day to day work and nothing has been done. Employees are not held accountable for being late, calling off whenever they want, SLEEPING ON THE JOB, not being involved and contributing, etc... There is no advancement in the company and was told there would never be a raise. There is no structure. Even going to the bosses where I'm contracted has no impact. If you have an issue, you might as well keep it to yourself because nothing will be done about it. Just because they may have trouble keeping workers at certain sites does not entitle those who do to do whatever they want. When I'm working, I give 150%. Come to find out, that is not a requirement to work for this company. I am extremely unhappy with the pay, unpaid holidays, poor management, etc.. I do not condone laziness at work and there is no backlash for it. The worst management I have ever had and that's saying a lot. I expected so much more from a healthcare contract agency.

If you work as a DSP look somewhere else that will give you a stable schedule. This job is like an On call type of jobs, unless you already have a full time job somewhere else then you can pick up some shifts from them if they have availability. Most of the time I work for one day a week or nothing at all. It’s a struggle to even get at least 20 hours. When they call to ask you if you can do a shift, they try to send you far away. And when you can do a shift, they send you to another agency, which is always a headache because you have to learn about new clients and ask the other staff for help all the time. And then most of those staff and managers from those other agencies having an attitude when you come in to work with them. They complain and get mad for being there. Meanwhile these people always short staff lol. I wish ATC had their own residential sites. 
I’m so glad I’m Leaving this agency soon.

Working as a Clinical Research Associate at ATC Healthcare has been a valuable and rewarding experience. I was allowed to work on diverse clinical trials, which allowed me to expand my knowledge across various therapeutic areas and enhance my monitoring skills. my experience was strong teamwork and communication across departments. Whether coordinating with site staff, data managers, or other contract research associates, I found the workflow to be efficient and respectful. There’s a clear commitment to patient safety and high standards of research.

The best thing about working for ATC was that you worked independently and your supervisors were always there to assist.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful was setting up the station and being ready for the MTA drivers to take their sample and then at the end of the shift count the samples and have them sealed for the carrier to pickup.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Well, I did not work for ATC directly, but it was a great company to work for.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I would arrive at the location at 3:00 am set up my station with all the instructions, samples and tablet. Be ready by 6:00 am and answer questions and restock sample kits and then by 1:00 pm count the the samples, seal and package for carrier to take by 3:00 pm.
