I thought this company was great until it wasn't, management is awful, house managers are constantly working 50-60 hours a week, which is unfair. There is no work life balance, your area always working. Call offs are ridiculous. Management says that we have enough staff when we never do.  Management never helps with call offs. They play favorites and if you're not a favorite, then your screwed. If you take time off or call off, they will either not give you any hours or give you way too many hours to where you are exhausted. I wish I would have never taken this job, by far one of the worst mistakes I've made in this field. I'm not proud to put them on my resume in the future. Also don't try to go to HR about issues around the management they flip it and turn it around on you and make you look like the bad one. They never fixed issues, felt like they just brushed it under the rug.

This place was the most misleading place that I have ever worked.

Firstly, I was informed at my 90 days, I would get increased in my wage. That actually never occurred as indicated at the time of interview. 

Owner only acknowledged the fact that I was wearing sweat pants at the day program due to it being to humid to wear jeans while chasing a client from one end of the building to the next. 

He did not fully acknowledge the fact that we were getting absolutely railroaded at the day program due to a severe lack of staffing. 

Overall, my biggest complaint would be the identity of this program. I cannot make sense of this place at all. You cannot mix certain personalities with others. 

My experience here seemed like empty promises and too many politics within the company. 




 I can honestly say that AHS is the best job I've ever had. The company is really supportive of its employees and they provide us with the training and resources we need to do our jobs well. I also love the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our clients. I was honestly surprised in the quality of care that AHS is providing for individuals in their care, they go above and beyond. I am honored to now be apart of AHS management and being a part of a team that is committed, dedicated and passionate with the work they do. I would highly recommend AHS to anyone who is looking for a rewarding career in home health care. They are not perfect (who really is) but they definitely are open to feedback and growth. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
As a DSP,my experience with the company is amazing since everyone in the company is cooperating, upto tasks and minds their business.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
So far so good, I have not encountered anything stressful since I joined the company some few months ago 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Conducive for me to work with since I am a Nursing student it helps me to learn more information health care 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Weekends I start my job at 8 am upto 3pm and some time starts from 4Pm to Midnight

I’m unsure when the new owner took over but I’ve been with them at the day program since November 2019. I enjoy going to work everyday and interacting with my individuals, their guardians and families. It can be challenging at times but when that happens I phone my supervisor and inform them of my needs and get what I need to do my job properly. It’s Monday through Friday and never any weekends or evenings so I have free time for friends and family. The pay is better everyone else in the area and I have health insurance and an IRA. 

This company is absolutely horrible! They have NO communication whatsoever! The owners are on different pages, different rules for different people, different clients get what they want they don’t do the same for every client!  They bribe you with gift cards so the program coordinators dont have to work. They don’t offer vacation time, sick time, paid time off. When you do request the time off they hold it against you then try to write you up for your attendance. Favoritism here is just ridiculous!

Work is great and the other employees are happy & cheerful at the office!  A very positive work environment full of energy!
Great Place to work and very caring for clients! Day Program does so many fun projects and keeps the individuals active all day long! Residential also keeps the clients engaged and having home managers along with program managers makes a world of difference in client care

This job has been one of the best job I’ve had in a while, I feel very supported by my boss! No job is ever going to be easy or no drama each company has there issues, but the one thing that we need to improve on is dsp being actual team players and never answering their phone's. HR departments is amazing as well and have your back in different situations! Overall this company is not a bad company to work for and I highly suggest that before you read all the negative comments you look at the good ones and maybe even give it a shot to see what amazing clients we have

Ever since the new owner of Accessible has taken over things have grown and become the best place I have ever worked! I look forward to going to work each day, due to the clients and the impact I am able to have in their lives. Not to mention we now have medical, an IRA, and get regular performance evaluations. I would recommend working for Accessible to anyone that wants to be apart of a caring family owned business!  

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing they will work you 50 to70 hours a week. The best thing was some of the clients.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Keeping up with all the lies they force you to tell to cover their butts.

Family is favored. The new field supervisor is a piece of work. Borrows money from employees and don't pay it back.

Doing the coordinators job and being lied to.
