The job itself, I enjoy.  As a clinical nurse reviewer, you are an advocate for patients. 
10 hr shifts allow for 3 days off a week. 

It seems that the only thing upper management cares about is how many cases you get done.  They place unrealistic expectations that make the job stressful. There is no way you can take an actual 30 min lunch break and still meet your required quota.  The number of cases keeps increasing as well.  

Upper management claims they are available to discuss any issues.  However, when you do, they are condescending, are not supportive and make you feel worse than you did before you spoke to them. 

There are way too many supervisors and they don’t seem to communicate throughout the day.  They rotate their responsibility’s daily instead of having specific roles which is not efficient.  They pretty much just dictate what you have to do throughout the day and constantly look at your numbers. Some of them definitely have power and control issues.
We don’t need emails all day telling us what is expected of us.  This is a professional, clinical position.  Unfortunately, we are treated as if we have never worked as nurses- micromanaging is a big problem.
Also, the supervisors won’t hesitate harassing you to see why your numbers are low.  This is a trickle effect coming from upper management.

I love what I do but upper management has no clue how to run our department or what is involved with us performing our jobs.  All they do is look at numbers and reports.  If you aren’t meeting your numbers, be prepared to explain yourself.  

Every minute of your day must be accounted for with productivity.  You have to log on before your shift to pull 20 cases and read emails before you can even begin to work on cases.  This has to be done on your own time because they will not allow you to log the time spent on anything other than creating and closing out cases.  (Because that’s how the company gets paid).

If upper management were replaced with a different management team that actually cared about their staff and united us as a team, I would not consider looking for another job.

When I joined it was because the leader was so motivating and didnt just talk the talk, our culture was amazing. When he built the center he said WE would build it together and that's what happened. Leadership was highly visible, always supportive and ask "How can I help?" Solicited our feedback on processes and procedures and went above and beyond to k ow us, reward us, and make us feel appreciated. Then it all begin to change. The executive team changed and it all began going downhill. This contract and the client are beyond demanding and are clueless themselves. The training is awful (they claim it's because it's a new process and system) the news and local advocacy centers are constantly involved bashing the client publicly which leads to them taking it out on KEPRO. We then lost our leader who was just a contractor brought in to build the site and his replacement provides no support, doesn't know us by name, and is extremely unpleasant, unprofessional,  and throws heated temper tantrums.  I'm looking for a new job as we speak. Poor poor place and so sad because it was the dream job and environment I had always been hoping was out there.

The company itself is very greedy and does not appreciate those that actually do the work. The only reason that I have stayed as long as I have is because of my direct manager. He was hands down the best boss I have ever worked for and probably ever will. He left the company several months ago and since then, it has just been stressful and exhausting. Because the end of the company's contract with the government is ending and the next contract is renewing, the company hasn't even given us any temporary management. I work very well with very little supervision, but having none... doesn't work out so well. I know some people that work in other departments and their work life is just horrid. No matter where in the company you work, there is absolutely no room for advancement, and annual appraisals are a joke. It doesn't matter how well you've done or how much you've gone above and beyond, you will NOT be compensated for it. So my advice to anyone going to work for KEPRO is negotiate your wage coming into the door, because it will not go up much if it goes up at all.

I've never worked at such a toxic environment.

Management and consultants have their pets. They will lie to your face and act like they are you best friend while tattling to their managers every question you ask.

They are a cheap company as far as pay, There is no opportunity for professional growth unless you are a "favorite" of the consultant in the Call Center. If not, he will find a way to get you fired. Managers buddy up with him to protect their own job. You would think that he is the best thing since sliced bread and I'm surprised his own arm hasn't fallen off from patting himself on the back. He also lies to the customer and will be friendly to you acting like he's your best friend and stab you in the back while doing it. 

Training is also pathetic.They go over expectations one time and expect you to get it. You are told not to ask questions and if you do, co-workers will tattle to managers and the managers will mention that they were told that you asked questions, like that is a crime. 

CEO and upper management say they are trying to change the environment, which is a joke. They just fire people and don't ask for feedback whatsoever. 

Not a positive environment at all and turnover is horrible.

This is not the workplace. The workload is large, the management and Lead are bad. They are exclusive towards different races except if you are white. So if you are black and have ambition, keystone/NTP-Stag Tualatin Oregon is not for you: Please find another opportunity elsewhere. I don't recommend this Tualatin office. In front of you, they show respect but when you turn your back they are saying something else. There's no job security as the leads only to think about themselves not the members of the team. Worse work environment, too much gossiping behind your back if you are black and there's no advancement.  

When the team reaches the goals, they change things around to push the experienced employee at the door and hire new employees every 12 months, so don't think you will have job security here. Overall an ok work environment until you get the next job lol. If not, please stay away from this company..too many promises to employees the management can't keep. If you send a reminder, they will fire you for no reason.

This company is on a 5 year contract with CMS.  A CMS audit showed way under contracted figures (i.e. timeliness, cust. satisfaction, etc.).  Management never audited work.  At year 5, surprise, they did not win a contract for what they bid on.  Major permanent lay-offs.  They kept employees who had been written up, newer employees, and those who were under achievers and "slackers" but laid-off great employees.  Received only a 2 day notice and was coldly told "we no longer need your services".  Extremely poor management, employees get away with sleeping on the job, making personal calls and smoking all day, surfing Facebook and taking multiple long breaks and long lunches.  They do not post opportunities for advancement; instead they promote those who "kiss up" to management.  If you are a conscientious, caring and positive person, this is not the company for you.

There is no typical day at work, everyday come up with a new possibilities, new desire and unique outcome which some may call a typical day just because some task are almost same everyday such as : Login to work PC, checking emails, Attending standup meetings and share Yesterday, today and any problem might faced.

So far i have learn how to become a team player along with humbleness and calm at the same time.

co-workers are as important as family, without them tram work not possible, and without team work no ship cant move ahead.

If the hardest part mean difficulties then its not in my book, no work is hardest as long as we are focus and dedicated to our task.

The atmosphere and the culture of the job in natural, technical and non technical might be in verge and it is a fun, more importantly there is a new technologies arise almost every moments and its just awesome to know about it.

Learning is the key to success in anything

Mid and upper management think workers dont know about EEOC....kepro spends alot of money on upper management who do not interact with workers at site..they do not spend money on systems of which there are 4-5 different systems used at a time...as such there are unrealistic expectations set of employees....structure definitely leads to a lot of egotism displayed by management to employees. Many of the supervisors at site are not mature...more interested in winning popularity contest instead of doing things right...Subtle Nepotism that they think upper management wont find out about

The process begins when an electronic record is assigned to me. That record needs to be assessed for completion. Once verified is complete, the review begins by reading the record and identifying care that deviates from the national standards. Once that is completed, a written summary is sent to the Peer Physician Reviewer who determines whether or not that standard was met. During the day I may receive calls from Medicare beneficiaries inquiring about the results of the review. I write inquiring letters to the provider when is believed the standard of care may have not been met, or/and to provide them with results of the review. This description above may take more than a day, but it represents the type of activity I may encounter in a day.

I mean, it isn't rocket science but the expectations are a bit much. And for the pay? It's not motivating at all. I don't see a career ahead of this position because I don't see much room for growth. They want you to work ALL of your tasks (which is quite a lot) simultaneously while answering calls that don't pertain to my job, it wasn't disclosed that I would have to answer calls all day like a call center. Then, heaven forbid you want to get off the phone to complete outstanding work; the director jumps down your throat. Currently looking for another job because this is not it. 

Instead of hiring someone part-time to do tedious tasks, they add extra work to current employees with no additional benefits and now decided NOT to give raises until "MAYBE" October 2025. The pay I get now is horrible and unsustainable.
