Typical days revolve around providing the best care for home-based clients and employees. Phones are always ringing in the offices, which makes the day fly by due to the constant multi-tasking. There is a communication problem that exists between management and the rest of the administrative staff, which causes daily fires that need to be put out as the day goes along. And with all nursing-based care, there are stressful days with plenty of emergencies and rapid-fire phone calls and exchanges of documents. The staff all get along well for the most part, and work toward the common goal of client safety and independence. 
I've learned how to do more tasks simultaneously with this job than I ever thought would be possible, thanks to solid support and guidance from my manager. I feel that I am not using my full potential in this position, but am challenged daily with the constant steam of new situations and procedural changes. 
The most enjoyable parts of the job are laughing with my manager when things get the most stressful and chaotic, because sometimes that's all you can do when everything else seems to be going badly. I also love feeling like I made someones day a little bit better by taking the time to answer their questions and making them feel like they are my number one priority. I strive to make everyone feel that way throughout my day, and that's what sticks with me after a long and challenging week.

I was contacted about an interview that I was initially very excited about, if the recruiter had given me the correct time on the phone. 

I was very surprised the next day when I received a call telling me I missed my interview as I was getting ready to leave! I was told one time but another time was scheduled, to which I did not agree to and I didn’t receive the email confirmation until after I realized I was “late”. Lots of miscommunication. I’ve never called out of work  and especially an interview so it was a bit frustrating that they tried to make me feel like I messed up when I verified twice before we hung up the phone. This might be a good company to work for but the interview process was a difficult experience for me. 

I'd give zero stars if I could. Don't care about being a real medical professional? Ready to throw away your investment in training/certification? Work here. You'll clean houses. I came to this position as a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant with over a decade in full time, one-on-one dementia care, and was not offered a single client with dementia. I felt irrelevant, insignificant, unimportant, and the years of time and money I invested in my training were for nothing. This company ended my career - I've not returned to nursing. 

I loved helping my clients when I worked here.  Great company that has been doing this a long time.  Nurses and staff care about their employees.  They do parties, sent me thank you cards, Starbucks cards, etc.  You can talk to anyone on the phone and they work to help you find a solution so that you are the best caregiver for your clients.  Also offer training classes and online options, too - which they pay for you to get trained.  I will miss working here!

The staff is pretty good, but I often felt pressured to take more shifts than I was able. The work environment vaaastly depends on your patient that day. It can be depressing work since you don’t have coworkers and you can’t talk to anyone cause of HIPAA (which is a good thing but you can feel lonely—it’s the nature of the job).
Overall, i felt appreciated and encouraged. But when I called out sick they insinuated that I wasn’t really sick, which put a bad taste in my mouth since i only called out sick once.
They also pay for training, and I thought that was a score.

The only good thing that came out of working here is working for the clients and getting to know them one on one. The company itself is not a good company to work for, they do not care about their workers when it comes to their health and personal home life.

With the ability to create your own schedule and unlimited overtime, Advanced Health Care is a nice place to work. With shifts ranging from 2 hours to 12 hours you can get the hours you want if you have a flexible schedule. Management is supportive and the schedulers work really hard to build you a schedule that works for you. Pay increases every year with good performance. All around a good place to gain experience and hone your skills.

I usually have three or four different clients I visit a day. I give personal care, do house hold duties, and take clients out on outings. Management typically is really good but once in awhile there is a lack of communication. The hardest part of the job would be having to deal with upset clients but I am usually able to fix the situation. The most enjoyably part of my job is being able to help others.

I felt like I was just a number at this company. When you really needed help they were never available to help you and then you would get in trouble for any little thing. The HR lady was wicked and  kept assigning me to dementia patients when I told her I had no experience and instead of just telling me what I was doing wrong she fired me. The pay was the lowest I ever worked for.

I'm on the phone in from the start to the end of my shift and it doesn't matter who I am speaking with everyone is so respectful. 
Everyone is willing to assist each other to get tasks completed. 
Hardest part of my job is when a client passes away. You build a bond with so many of the families it's hard to say good-bye. 
What I love most are the people (clients and caregivers) and the assisting them.
