This is hands down one of the worst companies I have ever worked for. Management lacks basic professionalism, transparency, and accountability. Decisions are made behind closed doors with no clear communication, and employees are left in the dark until it directly affects them.

The work environment is toxic. Rather than supporting employees, management practices retaliation when concerns are raised or when employees attempt to advocate for fairness. Feedback is not welcomed—it is punished. This creates a culture of fear rather than teamwork or growth.

Leadership is disorganized, inconsistent, and dismissive. Policies seem to change depending on who you are rather than being applied fairly across the board. There is no trust, no respect, and no genuine concern for employee well-being.

If you value transparency, ethical leadership, and a healthy work culture, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. This is an awful place to work, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I have been in practice >30 years, and this job is perfect for me.  It is well organized and I receive good support from coworkers.  The pace is steady and manageable, not hectic, and I feel respected.  I truly feel empowered to make the job as good as I want it to be.

There are many locations around the United States, which allows for mobility, or even changing sites for a week or so to fill for someone else (with the proper license).

The staff at our hospital includes us as an integral part of the care team and uses our knowledge and skills productively.  The management at APC is always there to back us up if the need arises, but there is a lot of independence, no micromanaging.  This allows us to make strong relationships and excellent practice.

I very much enjoy working for APC.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They say that employees are treated like a customer. However , if anything happens you are treated horribly and they will disregard you. They say they are great however they do not have good IT and their policies are half way done

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They expect you to do whatever makes the customer happy even when the customers treat you like gum on the bottom of the shoe.   The customer can make the work place very hostile and APC tells u to grin and take it

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Baby sit MD’s and nurses because the hospitals are always short staffed and no one is held accountable .

Management simply doesn't care, unfortunately there is no other way to phrase it. They will not care about your life outside of work or how dedicated you are to your role. As mentioned in the cons section you don't get any paid holidays, if you want it off you have to use your PTO. That's all you accrue, just PTO, and you are told to use it as personal, sick, and vacation time. They don't care if you go above and beyond and are on top of everything (including your pharmacist task) they will compensate you the same way they would an average worker. As someone who loves being a tech it was very discouraging to find out that you're just like any other tech to them no matter how much of your all you give to help the team out. They treat you as just another cog in the machine. 


​While the core responsibilities of the role are straightforward and manageable, the overall experience is heavily dictated by the specific site location. My primary concern lies with APC management and the company itself, where there is a notable lack of integrity, transparency, and basic professionalism. The leadership team often displays a level of incompetence that makes daily operations unnecessarily difficult. Potential employees should be cautious, as the company's internal practices felt inconsistent and lacked a clear ethical framework.

Serious concerns regarding the company’s integrity and business ethics

I’ve been working in the Wickenburg pharmacy for over a year and I just Love it. I was worried at first since I’d never worked in this type of setting before. My managers and coworkers are great and the job itself is interesting. I’ve learned a lot working here that I don’t think I would have anywhere else. The benefits are great, they even feed us for free everyday. It’s a fun relaxed atmosphere where you feel like your part of a family not just another employee. Management is super flexible with scheduling if you need to switch a day or come in later because of an appointment with no repercussions. I’m so glad I took a chance on this job, it’s amazing!

After working in retail for 10 years, this work environment was a welcome change of pace. No soul sucking metrics, no corporate breathing down your neck at every turn, no customers screaming in your face. Literally a breath of fresh air. Feeling appreciated by your boss because they are appreciated by their boss, it does wonders for your work life and your mental health. It’s a good company to work for, I’d say the vast majority who work here are very satisfied. And I bet not one single person, tech or pharmacist would ever choose to go back to retail pharmacy. 

Just don’t even apply to work for APC unless you don’t need a job or don’t care if you work or not. The pharmacists are lazy and prefer to work at home vs being at the location. The company as a whole likes to demean and underpay its employees, especially the ones living paycheck to paycheck. Holidays are only paid if you work them, otherwise you must use your pto if you have it. Bad weather closures- must use your own pto if the pharmacist decides to not come in. 

I do not recommend this company. The job was super easy but it was a “do as I say, not as I do”. Management would frequently leave the facility but if you left to run an errand during lunch, you were written up. Company had several State Board violations but when brought up, you were told it’s not your job to care about legalities. Super brainless and easy work with no job stability, advancement, appreciation, or qualified management.

Making paychecks last when pay is every other week and only allowed part time.
