The interdisciplinary teams do not work together and the lack of accountability for patient care leads to negative patient outcomes. The hospital does not have the resources to care for many of the patients that are admitted, leading to delay in care and negative outcomes. Unfortunately this hospital is focused on profit first. Patient care and staff needs come second. Additionally, the staff are not held accountable for their actions that result in decreased patient care.

No opportunity for advancement and no effort towards employee retention. Staffing is inconsistent since they want to save a little money by putting people on- call for just a couple of hours. Keeps bad employees and takes advantage of the good ones. There's no incentive to perform well. 

I love the patients and most of the staff. The patient load is manageable if acuity is taken into account, which doesn't always happen. Scheduling is very flexible. Management is accessible. 

Very happy to have been a part of this magnificent, supportive, caring, and compassionate healthcare team for the past ten years. As an RN, I feel supported by management and physicians. The schedule and benefits are fair and the culture is one of respect and one in which staff strives to go the extra mile for consumers and for one another. Education and advancement are fully supported and encouraged.

Started right before Covid, worked extra as needed. Redeployed during Covid, while others were paid to stay home. There was no additional compensation, poor management. Loved my coworkers but there were definitely some difficult people within our department. Unfortunately due to poor management, they didn’t seem to care about seasoned professionals as we seemed to be disposable, therefore I left.

I started my nursing career here, and would gladly return if the right position became available. As a nurse, it was wonderful to be able to have the ear of the manager, the director, and even the CNO if needed. The staff were great (with very few exceptions, which I would expect at any hospital), the patients were well-cared for, and things ran much smoother than at other hospitals I worked in.

In my time there, I felt supported and valued as a member of the team. However, there are several things that plague this workplace that are common at others. Communication is poor and there are poorly documented policies and procedures that can be hard to find and are often contradictory. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to work. The pay is adequate, there are several other places with better pay for the same job.

Ran more like a surgery center due to volume  of caseload. No call during work week, except for FA’s, PA’s and RNFA’s. 
The best part about working at advent health is the freedom to speak about spiritual beliefs  and the importance of one’s faith being a huge part of the healing process and care plan for patients. 

This was a great hospital to work for! The staff was very welcoming, it was nice not feeling like I was just there to fill a need. This hospital was a nice reminder that not all hospitals are filled with social cliques hindering productivity and happiness. Management was caring and on the same team .

Receive report on unit which was L&D, nursery, postpartum, and gyn surgeries.  Assign staff according to departmental need. Provide assistance with staff during shift and provide direct patient care as staffing needs.

Great people make this hospital a wonderful place to work. However management, and administration has made this O.R chaotic and unreliable for staff. Too many employees for the case load, leads to staff  being sent home which leads to lower income. Too many people on staff has led to staffing issues and confusion on assigned tasks...
