What is the best part of working at the company?
Decent hours, job autonomy. (At least as a part of the floor crew.)

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unsafe work environment, up to and including the attempted assault of a coworker by mentally ill medical patients. 

(Also they constantly breached the new hire procedures I agreed to before signing on, including expecting me to deal with hazmat situations with no PPE or training.)

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Generally friendly, if dishonest.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Mopping, sweeping, dusting, trash duty, buffing and waxing floors.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Getting benefits on day 1 of starting. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not getting paid for holidays if you don’t have any PTO. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
People complaining and cussing in the workplace about the work. Boring environment. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Monday and Friday, working a dark cold room answering phones and being on a computer all day is frustrating. Tuesday through Thursday, triaging patients and nothing interesting about the job.

I worked there for 4 years and for the most part it was great!  However, most people that worked there front desk were not properly educated on their jobs and were never spoken to about mistakes that were made. An example being breech in HIPPA. Everyone in the back office worked great together and all had the same hardworking work ethic. The only reason I’m no longer there is because I gave birth and didn’t have childcare available for one afternoon during the week and management was unwilling to work with me for that afternoon… which the provider wasn’t even in the office for.  

Since PCN took over everything has gone downhill. Managers and higher ups expectations are ridiculous. They expect us to be glued to our desks in the phones, plus inbaskets, patients, nurse visits, scheduling just more than we can handle. Offices are always short staffed due to asking for so much and same compensation. Do better AH PCN or every office will continue to be like this. When it used to be AHMG it wasn’t as bad as this now is worse. Higher ups need to start listening to the ones that do the office work everyday and make changes fast.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good pay and great team work for the lost part.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The acuity and number of the patients. It would help to have more providers per shift.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Team work and evidence-based practice. A culture of learning and teaching and improved outcomes for all we serve.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy, busy, busy, depending on the campus.

customer service is stresful like everywhere, when I first started the management was excellent but that have changed. the payment is not the best but is not bas either.

Since advent health is growing up so fast there's a lot of opportunities to grow within the company.

there's a lot of benefits (education and insurances) which is good! 

 

You are basically a minion for AHMG. You do as they say or there will be consequences. APPs or midlevel providers are the back bone of all practices yet they don’t have any overall say in how procedures/ schedules should be adjusted. If you speak up, nothing gets done. A true positive catalyst for change is non existent- unless you find a way to make them more money. We are expected to see a variety of patient conditions for “patient access” even if it’s a disease process that our surgeons do not treat. 

Leadership is awful. They don't listen and refuse to hear clinicians out. Our director came in completely new to our practices with no experience and began demanding and dictating what should be done without fully understanding logistics or why things had to be a run a certain way. It was like having a baseball coach with no experience in football be a head coach for a football team. The team was great, but leadership engaged in backstabbing and talking behind others' backs consistently. 

Unit is very heavy for workload and mental health.   Average 4-5 Patients.  Love the people I work with, but difficult to move laterally in my opinion.  They say they want to keep RNs and are giving us pay raises, but I'm currently looking outside organization because the areas I'm interested in/locations are not hiring.
