Not a very good place to work. They underpay and overwork you. Instead of raises and bonuses,they give us hats and toys and pizza, they only recognize and take care of the people that are in their clicks used to love working here and this place has gone down hill. , they can't keep nobody due to all the issues they have here. The harder you work the worse it is which should. My be that way. management doesn't care or do anything for us whatsoever, all they do is hang out and put the wrong people in positions that should never be in them and let's them get away with demeaning coworkers and making it a hostile working environment. Place has changed for the worse. They say their a Christian based establishment, but that's a huge front , I will tell you this the Lord is not very happy as to what he sees going on in this place. But they'll have to answer for what they do and don't do. The harder you work the worse it is for you which makes no sense. They can't keep employees working here because of the way they do things. It's definitely not Christian whatsoever, total front!

I work in the ER as a RN and managers are amazing. I am PRN and can pick up whenever I want and the manager is very sweet about me just texting him and asking to pick up a day that I don't see open shifts and he will try and accommodate me. Night manager is amazing and will leave her office to help out the ER. It's not unusual to see her in the code room helping with a critical patient. It can be busy but most experienced ER nurses describe this ER as a piece of cake (this is my first ER so I wouldn't know). They always try and hire within the company for manager roles and advancements. 

I’ve been working at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel as a Registered Nurse in the ICU, and it has truly been an amazing experience. The teamwork, support, and compassion here are unmatched. Leadership genuinely cares about both patients and staff, and they create an environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

The ICU team works together like a family we support one another through challenging shifts, celebrate successes, and always keep patient care our top priority. The hospital emphasizes spiritual wholeness and quality care, and you can feel that mission in everything we do.

I take pride in working for one of the best hospitals in the country. I love that I am often empowered and encouraged to provide compassionate human care to my patients in addition to excellent nursing care. I am paid an average salary and benefits are generous. I appreciate and make use of the clinical ladder. I work with great people. Nonetheless we are continually increasing cases while losing staff.  Daily work pace has become unsustainable even among top preformers.

Leadership often ignored inappropriate behavior, especially if the behavior was demonstrated by other leaders and department directors. Patient safety would be sacrificed in order to get good survey results by only allowing access to good records and hiding the bad ones. If you spoke out against management, your position would be cut, with the excuse of financial need. 

 I enjoyed my manager before she left.  Very hands-on and an advocate for her staff.  The workplace culture was good and looked forward to coming back to work.   At times it's a  high patient-staff ratio and one gets concerned for patient safety.  With all hands on deck, one is able to complete challenging assignments. 

You will feel as if you are in a weird high school scenario full of gossip and zero support from any superiors. Beware of personal and private office meetings with no witnesses especially if you complain to HR. Pro tip: Don’t forget to personally document when something seems “strange” for your own security later.

The benefits are okay, the pay is the highest in the area. But they disguise their behaviors as a culture of Christianity when it is far from that. The leadership is all toxic and it feel more like an HCA facility than anything. You will be targeted by management, they are all close knit with the C-Suite so even then, you’re at the mercy of wrong doing with no help whatsoever. 

You have numerous duties, and while having a strong team of dutiful coworkers can aide you, be aware that people do leave this position often due to low staffing and duties spreading people thin. There are many hardworking employees at AdventHealth, and the leaders sometimes hold fun events like holiday parties and the like.
